📚🐾 Breaking news: My customer base now includes stuffed animals.

Author Sherry A. Burton found my little, tiny, borderline insignificant bandana shop and asked if I could make custom bandanas for Stuffy G from her Jerry McNeal series.

Naturally, I said yes because I have absolutely no ability to turn down weird, adorable projects.

Thirty-something bandanas later, I can officially confirm that stuffed dogs are easier clients than actual dogs. Nobody ate a bandana. Nobody rolled in anything questionable. Nobody ghosted me after approving a design.

10/10. Would work with fictional customers again.

If Kelly said it, I’m legally obligated to believe her. That’s just science.

But seriously… this is EXACTLY why these bandanas exist. More eyes on shelter dogs. More conversations. More chances for a dog to finally get picked instead of overlooked while humanity continues its weird habit of judging souls based on marketing.

Also, shoutout to the fact they fit a wide range of dogs because rescue pups do not come in convenient factory settings. 🖤

Here’s how it works:
• First come, first serve (based on comment time)
• Comment the bandana you want + your PayPal or Venmo
• I’ll send a payment request
• You have 2 hours to pay or it goes to the next person
• All bandanas are $5 each +$5 shipping
• Address collected after payment

Each design is limited (1–2 max) and once it’s gone… it’s gone. No restocks, no remakes.

Not every dog wants to be your best friend in 0.3 seconds.
Some of them are more… *actually reads bandana*

And honestly? Same.

This bandana does the talking so your dog doesn’t have to panic-explain themselves mid-walk.
Boundaries, but make it cute.

Serious for a second—
If you’ve ever adopted a dog, what made you say ‘that’s the one’?

Was it their face? Their story? The kisses they immediately gave your children?

Before Hippo, I had a few ‘permanent residents’—Chance (lab), Kota (GSD), and Lilac (AmStaff). I wasn’t exactly looking for another dog..
Then I saw Hippo with a rescue I was directly involved with in NC.. while I was stationed 1,700 miles away in El Paso, Texas.

And of course—she got adopted right after.

But here’s the part that feels very on brand for both of us…
She was apparently HORRIBLE there. Like, elite-level menace. Pooping in her crate multiple times a day even though she was never in it more than a couple hours at a time.
Escaping to the neighbor’s yard to terrorize their goats.
Digging out of the fence.

So… she got returned.
And I said, ‘I’ll take her for a trial weekend.’

LOL.

She never left.

So naturally, after Hippo turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made, I thought—
‘Yeah, let’s get another bully.’

Enter Saint.
Six-month-old blue merle bully puppy, with a pr*****ed re**um. The owners had opted for euthanasia. Surgery happened—he came here to heal.

A couple days later, at 5 a.m., I turn on my bathroom light to see a large portion of Saint’s insides… outside his body.

Rush to the ER. Another surgery.

He seemed to be doing well, and a few days later—he tanks physically. Won’t eat, won’t drink. Exhausted.
We decided on exploratory surgery, suspecting sepsis. They told me to get ready to say goodbye. He was too far gone.

The surgery turned up absolutely nothing.

We opted for some testing and took Saint home, hoping for the best.

Turns out… he also had Parvo.

ANYWAYS—he’s alive, well, and thriving.
Saint… is absolutely not Hippo 😂

Now we’re almost five years into life with the most obnoxious dog on the planet, and I have zero regrets.

Questionable judgment? Absolutely.
Regrets? None.

When mom says she has an announcement…
and you’re already the middle child of the dog world. 🐶😅

This custom “Not Again.” bandana is for the pups who just realized another tiny human is about to move in rent-free.

More snacks dropped on the floor? Great.
More tail pulling and baby cries at 3am? Questionable.

Either way… the dog is processing the news.

Also, if your last two babies were surprises… this bandana might hit a little too close to home. Ask me how I know. 😂
