**FREJA NEEDS A HOME**
Freja #26-33, female. Arrived 1/27/26. DOB 5/2022.
For more information please call and speak with adoption staff.
631-643-9270
Freja is the kind of dog who makes you smile the moment you meet her. She is incredibly sweet, friendly, playful, and smart. She loves making new friends, soaking up attention, and showing off her happy personality. Whether she's doing zoomies around the yard, playing with her favorite toys, or learning new tricks, Freja is happiest when she's engaged and spending time with her people.
This young girl is well-behaved, eager to please, and already housetrained. She has a wonderful balance of playful energy and good manners. She's full of life but also knows how to settle and enjoy being with her humans.
Freja truly misses the feeling of being part of a family. At the shelter, she watches each day hoping that the next person who walks in will be the one coming for her. You can see how much she wants a home of her own, a family to love, and a place where she belongs.
Freja would do best with older children and is looking for a home where she can be the right match with other pets, as she is dog selective. With her loving heart, bright personality, and playful spirit, Freja has so much love to give and is ready to start the next chapter of her life.
Could Freja be the missing piece in your family?

**PERCY NEEDS A HOME**
Percy #25-318, male. Arrived 7/22/25 at 3 years old.
For more information please call and speak with adoption staff.
631-643-9270
Young, handsome, and full of potential — Percy is a strong, sweet hunk who’s ready to find the right person to help him shine! Life in the shelter brings stressful times for this sensitive boy, and he needs to gain experience in new situations. Once he feels comfortable, his friendly, affectionate nature comes out, and he’ll quickly steal your heart.
Percy is a smart, eager learner who just needs consistency, guidance, and a confident partner. He’s looking for a sensible adopter — someone who can provide structure, patience, and plenty of positive reinforcement. A secure yard is a must for this athletic guy, as he loves to stretch his legs and soak up the sunshine.
When he’s comfortable, Percy enjoys simply hanging out with his person — sitting by your side or lying in the grass, taking in the world around him. He’ll do best as the only pet in an adult-only home where he can focus on bonding and building a relationship.
With the right partner, Percy will blossom into the loyal, loving companion he’s meant to be. He just needs someone to believe in him.

**GREYSTONE NEEDS A HOME**
Greystone # 25-301, male. Arrived 7/14/25 at 2-4 years old.
For more information please call and speak with adoption staff.
631-643-9270
Looking for a diamond in the rough? Meet Greystone!
Don't let that tiny face fool you—Greystone is a complex, active little guy looking for a very special hero. If you love a dog with a big personality who loves to stay moving, he might be your guy!
The Fun Stuff: Greystone is NOT a couch potato! This boy absolutely loves going for walks and gets the ultimate zoomies when he's running around in the yard. He is incredibly playful and fun once he feels safe!
The Key to His Heart: Food! Greystone is super food-motivated, and high-value treats are the absolute secret to winning his trust and making a lasting bond.
The Important Stuff: Greystone is a "look but don't touch" kind of guy at first. He has strict physical boundaries, and takes a long time to trust people enough to be handled or picked up. He also does not like other dogs.
Greystone needs an experienced, adults-only home (no kids, no other pets). His potential adopter needs to be willing to come to the shelter for multiple meet-and-greets to build a bond. He also needs an owner prepared for medical groomings (vet sedation) in his future.
Greystone takes time to unpack, but watching his playful side come to life is worth every second. If you have the patience, the yard, and a pouch full of treats, Greystone may be willing to meet you!
*Greystone does have a bite history at the shelter.

**ELLA NEEDS A HOME**
Ella #2-100, female. Arrived 3/11/2022 at 3-4 months old.
Sadly, Ella has grown up at the shelter. Ella can be shy and take some time to warm up. She likes to adventure and watch everything going on, while keeping her distance. Ella does well in our free roam colony around other cats and kittens. She will benefit from a slow introduction to a new home and time to adjust. All this beautiful sleek girl needs is a chance. Ella is Felv/FIV negative, current on vaccinations and parasite prevention, spayed and microchipped.

**NORMAN NEEDS A HOME**
Norman #25-221, male. Arrived 10/3/2024 at 3-4 years old.
For more information please call and speak with adoption staff.
631-643-9270
Norman is a big, strong boy with a gentle soul and a goofy heart. Despite his size, Norman thinks he’s a lap dog. He loves people, belly rubs, and any chance to show off his signature “mush face” while he wipes his drool on you. He knows sit and paw, walks nicely on leash, and would do just about anything for a snack—he LOVES food. A volunteer favorite, he’s affectionate, sweet, and calm, especially once he’s settled in.
Norman is looking to be the only dog in the home, without kids and an adopter experienced with large breeds, especially the Cane Corso. With some guidance, consistency, and love, this big-hearted boy will make a devoted and loyal companion.

🚨 THEY’VE BEEN WAITING SIX MONTHS OR LONGER. HOW MUCH LONGER SHOULD THEY HAVE TO WAIT? 💔🐾

Bruiser. Misfit. Zayne. Pongo. Peep. Tommy.

Six different dogs. Six different personalities. Six dogs who have watched other dogs come into our rescue and leave with families of their own.

And they’re still waiting.

💔 Six months or longer.

That’s six months of watching people scroll past their pictures.
Six months of adoption events without being chosen.
Six months of wondering when it will finally be their turn.

These are the dogs who need us the most right now.

They aren’t brand-new puppies getting hundreds of likes and applications. They’re the ones who have slowly become familiar faces on our page—the dogs people recognize, say they feel sorry for, and promise to share.

But shares haven’t found their people yet.

We desperately need that to change.

Some of them need very specific homes. Some have quirks. Some simply keep getting overlooked. But not one of them is less deserving of a family because they’ve been waiting longer. If anything, they deserve for someone to finally look at them and say:

❤️ “You. I choose YOU.”

Please help us get these six dogs in front of as many people as possible. SHARE THIS POST. Share it to community groups. Send it to friends. Tag someone looking for a dog. One share could reach the person we haven’t been able to reach.

We don’t want to be making another post months from now saying they’re still waiting.

🐾 BRUISER • MISFIT • ZAYNE • PONGO • PEEP • TOMMY 🐾

Their forever families have to be out there somewhere.

PLEASE HELP US FIND THEM. 🏡❤️ APPLY HERE IF THAT IS YOU!! https://form.jotform.com/260365458443057
