❤️🐾 THIS is why we appreciate Barbie so much! 🐾❤️

We just had to share this sweet story because it says so much about the relationships our groomers build with both the pets AND their families.

Meet Lilly, an adorable 8-month-old little girl who recently came to Barbie for her very first grooming experience. 🐩✂️

But Lilly’s story actually started years before she ever walked through our doors.

Her mom previously had a schnauzer named Khan. Sadly, Khan has since passed away. 💔 Khan had struggled to find the right groomer because he had been labeled as “aggressive.” But when Barbie started working with him, she had zero issues. With patience, gentleness, and understanding, Khan showed Barbie what a sweet boy he truly was. ❤️

When Lilly joined the family, her mom remembered exactly how Barbie had treated Khan—and when it was time for Lilly’s first groom, she knew who she wanted to trust.

Lilly came in very matted, and because this was her first grooming experience, no one knew exactly how she would react.

Well… this little girl did AMAZING! 🥰

She was a little spicy when it came to her face 😂, but Barbie isn’t worried about perfection on day one. Her goal is to build Lilly’s trust through time, patience, positive reinforcement, and gentle handling. As that relationship grows, we believe the rest will come.

For Barbie, knowing Lilly’s mom remembered the love and patience she showed Khan—and trusted her enough to give Lilly a positive first experience—meant everything.

Just look at this little guy! Teddy literally looks like a real-life teddy bear. 🧸🐾 But as cute as this groom turned out, there’s something even more special behind these pictures.

Barbie sent me this message about Teddy:

“Teddy is just so special to me. He’s so sweet and so good for his grooming. He will literally fall asleep while I’m sc******ng him, and I love that kind of trust and relaxation from him. I always look forward to his spa day visits every 5 weeks. His mom is extra special too, and I adore her as well. I can’t say it enough… I LOVE MY JOB because I get to spend time with pups like Teddy.” ❤️🐩✂️

As an owner, THAT is the kind of message I love getting from an employee.

Just look at Logan! This handsome poodle was such a good boy for his spa day, and his transformation is absolutely adorable. By the time Mrs. Barbie finished working her magic, he looked just like a little teddy bear! 🧸❤️

Meet Rudy. He came in so shaggy and his groom transformation was awesome. I absolutely loved bringing out that cute face in a nice teddy bear 🧸 cut. He was such an angel and I just adored grooming him. Just look at that face. How could you not melt 🫠 looking at him? I look forward to his next visit. He was precious ❤️

There are just certain pups that come into the salon and instantly make your heart smile. ❤️ Patches is definitely one of those special boys.

Every 6 weeks, I get the privilege of spending time with this sweet guy, and I honestly look forward to every visit. He has the happiest personality, the sweetest heart, and his joy shines through in every picture we take. Seeing him walk through the door always makes my day a little brighter.
