🐾 MEET FENWAY, GRONK & ROSE! 🐾

These three girls are full of personality! Gronk is the oldest of the pack, followed by Rose, and last but certainly not least, baby Fenway! 🐶

We just completed a full-day stay with these three while their parents took the day off to cheer on the New England Patriots! 🏈❤️💙

The girls enjoyed their morning and afternoon walks, mealtimes, and plenty of playtime, followed by some well-deserved snoozing! Nothing beats a day full of fun, exercise, and relaxation. 🐾💤

We can’t wait to see these three again in a few weeks for their 3-night, 4-day stay! We’re already looking forward to more walks, playtime, and cuddles with this adorable trio!

Elvis is absolutely BALL OBSESSED! Rollo? Well, he occasionally joins in on the fun… but mostly when he sees his brother having TOO MUCH fun. (His family calls him the fun Police) Swipe left for photo proof 😂

🐾 Training Tip Thursday with Winnie! 🐾

Today, Winnie is working on the very first step of learning her “Paw” command!

We start by placing a few treats in our hand, closing our fist, and letting our dog’s natural instincts take over. The goal is to allow them to experiment with different behaviors and discover which one earns the reward!

Patience is KEY during this first stage!

Winnie’s first instinct is to use her nose to sniff out all those delicious treats! When that doesn’t work, she eventually tries using her paw to get what she wants. The moment her paw touches my hand, I mark the behavior with a happy “YES!” and reward her with a treat.

Notice that during this stage, I’m not giving Winnie any verbal commands. Instead, I’m giving her the opportunity to think, experiment, and problem-solve on her own. We want her to figure out which behavior earns the reward rather than relying on us to tell her exactly what to do.

Why is this exercise so beneficial?

* Mental stimulation: Thinking through a task can be tiring and enriching for your dog.

* Problem-solving skills: Your dog learns that trying different behaviors can lead to success.

* Confidence building: Learning through experimentation can help your dog become more comfortable trying new things.

Once Winnie consistently offers her paw, we can begin pairing the behavior with the verbal cue “Paw!” This helps her learn what the command means and when to perform the behavior.

Remember, training takes time! Keep your sessions short, stay patient, and celebrate those little wins along the way.

🐾 MEET OUR NEWEST WEEKLY CLIENT, SHONA! 🐾

Shona was rescued by her parents and is estimated to be just a couple of years old. She’s a beautiful Husky mix who is ready to explore.

Twice a week, Shona gets to hang out with Bre and head out on an adventure walk! These walks are a great way to get some exercise, explore new surroundings, enjoy plenty of sniffing opportunities, and build confidence along the way.

We’re so happy to welcome Shona to the Pawsitive Vibes Pack and can’t wait to see where their next adventures take them! 🐾🧡🩷

🎉🐾 A HUGE HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY SHOUTOUT TO ELVIS!! 🐾🎉

We’re currently staying with Elvis and Rollo for the week while their pawrents enjoy vacation, and it just so happens that TODAY is Elvis’s very first birthday! 🥳💙 Of course, we couldn’t let the special day go by without throwing him a little birthday bash of his own! 🎂🎈

Elvis and Rollo have been part of the Pawsitive Vibes Pack since the very beginning, so getting to celebrate such a special milestone with them means so much to us! We’re so grateful to have been part of their lives from the start and to watch them grow. ❤️ And don’t worry, we made sure Rollo got a little something special, too! Bre had the pleasure of spending two weekend overnight stays with Roan, and they had an absolute blast together! From venturing off to explore new parks, enjoying lots of ball time, and soaking up plenty of cuddles.

🐾 Monday Manners with Rylie! 🐾

Rylie LOVES to bolt out the backyard door in hopes of chasing down every bunny and squirrel she can find! 🐰🐿️😂 So today, we’re working on one very important behavior: “WAIT.”

Before opening the door, Rylie is asked to sit and wait patiently. Once I’m sure everything is clear, she gets her “OKAY!” and is released to head outside.

This simple exercise has SO many benefits! It gives us the opportunity to make sure the yard is safe before letting Rylie out, while also working on her impulse control and patience.

We’re teaching Rylie that she doesn’t need to rush through the door or immediately chase whatever catches her eye. Instead, she can pause, wait for direction, and head outside in a much calmer mindset. 🧠🐾

Sometimes the little everyday behaviors make the BIGGEST difference! ❤️

🐾 Silly Sunday!! 🐾

Just a FEW of the silly moments we’ve caught our clients having on camera! 😂

Because apparently, being cute isn’t enough… our pups also have to keep us laughing 24/7! 😂 From the zoomies to the derpy faces, questionable decisions, and those “what are you even doing?” moments — we’ve seen it all! 🤪

🐾 SATURDAY SPOTLIGHT! 🐾

Check out Frankie working for his dinner during our last dog stay together! 🐶

At the beginning of the video, I ask Frankie to perform a behavior—going through the hoop—using both a verbal and physical cue. After a few successful repetitions, I stop asking him what I want him to do.

You can start to see Frankie get a little frustrated and confused, but instead of immediately giving him the answer, I give him a little time to think and problem-solve on his own. 🧠🐾

With some patience, Frankie figures out exactly what he needed to do! Once he does, I give him a jackpot reward to communicate, “YES! That’s exactly what I was looking for!” 🎉

Jackpot rewards help create a strong positive association with the correct behavior and encourage your dog to continue thinking and trying when they aren’t immediately sure what you’re asking.

Teaching our dogs to problem-solve and think independently is just as important as teaching them specific behaviors!

Great work, Frankie! 🐾❤️
