Two thousand friends. Two thousand reasons to be thankful. ❤️

When we started growing Old Crow Farm, we hoped to create more than just a family business. We wanted to create a place where people could gather, slow down, listen to good music, share good food, celebrate special moments, and simply enjoy being together.

And now, our little corner of Alabama has grown to 2,000 followers!

Every follow, share, comment, event ticket, visit, and recommendation has helped our family business continue to grow—and, even better, has introduced us to so many new friends and families along the way.

We are excited about where Old Crow Farm is headed, but we’re even more grateful for the people who are making the journey with us. Whether you’ve been here from the beginning or just recently found us, thank you for being part of the Old Crow Farm family.

Here’s to more live music, more gatherings in the barn, more food trucks, more celebrations, more memories, and plenty of new faces becoming old friends. 🐦‍⬛❤️

🏈 There’s Nothing Like a College Football Saturday in the South 🏈

The calendar says college football season.

The thermometer says absolutely not. 😂

It may be Labor Day weekend, and today may be one of the hottest days we’ve had all year, but around here, that doesn’t matter. College football is back—and in the South, that means Saturday traditions are back, too.

There’s something about waking up on a Saturday morning and turning on College GameDay while the kitchen starts filling up with the smells of everything we’ll snack on for the next twelve hours.

At Old Crow Farm, GameDay food deserves its own starting lineup.

Sausage balls fresh from the oven. Deviled eggs topped with a little Cowboy Candy for that sweet Alabama-grown jalapeño kick. Pimento cheese with pork skins for scooping. Charcuterie boards that we’ll keep picking at all afternoon. Stuffed jalapeño peppers. And those bacon-wrapped water chestnuts that somehow disappear before halftime.

Nothing fancy. Just good food made for sharing.

Then everybody finds a spot—the couch, the kitchen, or, despite this Alabama heat, eventually the back porch. Coolers are packed, televisions are on, and somewhere somebody is already explaining what the coach should have done. 😂

Because college football Saturdays in the South have never been just about football.

They’re about tradition.

The team you grew up pulling for because your parents and grandparents did. Old T-shirts and lucky hats. Fight songs you’ve known almost as long as you’ve known your own name. Friendly rivalries between people who love each other every other day of the week.

It’s friends dropping by and staying for another game. It’s everybody gathered around the food when they were supposed to be watching the television. It’s hearing somebody down the road celebrate a touchdown a few seconds before you see it on your own screen.

And it’s realizing that some of our favorite traditions aren’t really about where we go at all.

They’re about who gathers around us when we stay home.

So even if it’s pushing summertime temperatures outside this Labor Day weekend, we know what season it really is at Old Crow Farm.

The fall weather can catch up later.

We’ve got games to watch and sausage balls to eat. ❤️

By August in Alabama, much of the summer garden is starting to look tired—but the pepper plants are just getting started. 🌶️☀️

Thanks to our long, warm growing season, the jalapeños at Old Crow Farm will keep producing well into October. And when the garden keeps giving, I keep finding ways to put up the harvest.

Today, that means Cowboy Candy—garden-fresh jalapeños simmered in a sweet, tangy, spiced syrup and tucked into jars to enjoy later. There’s something especially satisfying about preserving food that started as a tiny seed, grew right here on the farm, and was picked just steps from my kitchen. 🌶️🧄🫙

A jar of Cowboy Candy is more than peppers. It’s a little bit of Alabama summer saved for another day. 🌶️❤️

When the garden keeps giving, I keep preserving. 🫶🥰
