At Meraki Dog Training, I know that your dog is an extremely valuable member of your family and that when you start struggling with your dog, it can very quickly become a giant frustration where you donā€™t know what to do. As an owner of two dogs and a foster of many others, I know at a very personal level how difficult it can be to find the right training for your dog. I have experienced and dealt

with a vast array of behavioral issues but here at Meraki, the training is effective and applicable to any behavioral issue, whether it be serious or minor. The very definition of Meraki is to do something with soul, creativity or love; to put something of yourself into your work. And that is what this is for meā€¦.this is more than training dogs. This work has meaning and to me it means keeping dogs in families. And it is the heart and soul of what I do. I too have failed animals in the past due to a lack of knowledge, but as Maya Angelo says ā€œwhen you know better, you do better.ā€ That is my goal with this training companyā€¦.to help pass along what I know to you, so that you too can do better for your dog because these creatures need us and we need them.

Look at these dogs showing up and putting in the workā€¦and they have graduated!

This is our Level 1 class for dogs 6 months and up (Show Me What To Do)ā€¦ where we stop guessing and start giving dogs clear direction.

They came in with real-life challenges and their owners were ready to do something about it. They showed up, they practiced, they stayed consistent, and it shows.

Clear communicationā€¦ better leash controlā€¦ more accountability in everyday situations. We never expect perfection, but we do see real skills develop that you they can use in the real world.

These dogs arenā€™t just going through the motions anymoreā€¦ their owners understand how to truly help them.

And of course we celebrated it the right way with pup cups!

Look at these pups stepping into the next stage and graduating!

This is our Level 1 puppy class (Teach Me All The Things) for puppies 4ā€“6 months oldā€¦ where they start learning how to actually navigate the world.

They showed up ready to go and they put in the work. They practiced, they stayed consistent, and it shows.

Leash skillsā€¦ communicationā€¦ learning how to navigate real-life situations. Not perfectionā€¦ but progress you can actually use outside the classroom.

Now they head out into the real world with tools that make life easier.

Look at these little tinies heading out into the world. These are our little Puppy Preschool graduates!

They experienced new people. They were around other puppies. They started learning how to exist in a world thatā€™s a little bigger than their living room.

No pressureā€¦no perfectionā€¦just exposure, guidance, and a whole lot of learning for both ends of the leash.

The humans:
They walked away with real informationā€¦ how to handle biting, routines, kenneling, and what actually matters in these early weeks.

The puppies:
A few new skillsā€¦ and a solid start.

And of courseā€¦we wrapped it up with pup cups!

Guys, we did it againā€¦.. #1 in the Lincoln Choice Awards for the second year in a row!!

Weā€™re hiring at Meraki Dog Training!!!

Weā€™re looking for someone confident, outgoing, and comfortable working with peopleā€¦.not just dogs, but coaching people through training their dogs.

This is a part-time role (1ā€“5 hours/week) with late afternoon, evening, and some weekend availability required.

You donā€™t need dog training experienceā€¦we will teach you everything you need to know. But you do need to be:
ā€¢ clear and confident when speaking
ā€¢ possess a fun, engaging presence in front of a group
ā€¢ willing to learn and fully represent our training system

This role requires confidence leading and directing groups. Preference will be given to candidates with prior coaching, teaching, or group instruction experience (experience does not need to be dog training-related).

If you love dogs but love working with people even more, this could be a great fit!

Puppy Preschool starts tomorrow (April 12, 2026) and we still have a couple spots open!

If you have a puppy 2ā€“4 months old and want to get started on the right foot, this class is for you.

Puppy Preschool runs three weeks and meets 12:00ā€“12:45 p.m.

Weā€™ll begin the basics of training, answer every single question you have, and provide safe, structured socialization for your new puppy.

Puppy Preschool starts this Sunday (April 12, 2026) and we have a couple spots open!

If you have a brand new puppy (2ā€“4 months old) and want to get started on the right foot, this class is where you start.

Adult Class Graduates!!

Real dogs.
Real distractions.
Real progress.

These guys came in ready to work, and we did just that. We worked on leash skills, training that isnā€™t dependent on food, impulse control around real-life triggers, teaching dogs how to slow down and think, and learning how to control excitement around other dogs and people.

Weā€™re not chasing perfect behavior.
Weā€™re building dogs that can function in the real world.

The progress they all made is impressive. I couldnā€™t be prouder of them!
