Why do I have wallpaper picked for the chicken coop but not our new home build…. that Im supposed to be planning lol 👩🏻‍🌾

It does look like the Coop wallpaper will have to wait though as winter is coming fast and so are these babies🫣👶🏻

I was so thankful to get a bundle from Eaton Pet and Pasture to be able to at least do a full on deep clean of the coop! You have to try those nesting box herbs 🌸🐓 they’re so pretty and smell amazing!!

The reveal you’ve been waiting for!

The Urban Homestead backyard transformation is done and this spot is one we have not left all summer long☀️

Having a new patio and driveway with the whole yard fenced in really gives us the space we’ve been needing for the flock to run free and for our daughter to play safely. 🦆🐓

Now we’re onto more projects but mainly one BIG project…. Our NEW build home on our acreage lot!! This fall we’re diving into the start of building our forever home to make room for these babies on the way🫣😂🤍 but also because it been our dream for years!

I can’t wait to share with you guys our build and new homestead as we go!!🏠👩🏻‍🌾

I planned and started my front yard flower back in January and it was mostly shades of pinks, creams, whites — just because those are colors I love in bouquets.

Little did I know I’d be creating my own gender reveal flowers for TWINS and got to use my own homegrown flowers 🩷🥹🌸

Today we tore out all the flowers for the year as we prepare for winter and building our dream acreage home. I can’t wait for our girls to be here, building our forever home, and eventually flowers and growing on our acreage. 🤎

Year 4 of growing our garden, raising chickens, and working towards this goal, but we’ve got lots of projects this spring to really turn this small urban lot into the best it can be!

We created a fun kids play area in the ugly space behind our garbage. Now our daughter can play and be outdoors while mom and dad work in the garden and complete more backyard DIY projects 👩🏻‍🌾🐓🦆

Today we planted tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers in our little urban backyard garden… and we have so much more already growing like:
• peas
• lettuce, kale, and spinach
• beets
• carrots
• garlic and onions
• strawberries, grapes, raspberries and blueberries
• green beans
• flowers and herbs

And potatoes and corn in the back garden area
