Those scattered summer blackbirds you saw one or two at a time are forming massive roving flocks right now, sometimes mixing with starlings and grackles in fields and marshes. It's one of the more overlooked fall spectacles happening right outside town. Ever driven past a field that looked like it was moving?

Good news for those of us who have been looking at our fall garden cleanup and thinking… eh, maybe tomorrow. 😂🍂

🦉🍂 Five owls. Five unforgettable calls. One quiet October night.

When darkness settles over the backyard, the woods come alive with sounds many people never stop to identify.
