Roper East Dog Run

Roper East Dog Run Roper East Dog Run officially opened November 5th, 2017. This dog run has a little over 5 acres of space.

The large dog area has 4 acres and the small dog (15 inches and under) has 1 acre of space. There is a permanent shelter over a handicapped portable restroom. This dog run will have a drinking fountain installed in late spring along with shade shelters, decorative benches and pet waste containers. Friends of the Dog Parks is a NPO that is run by all volunteers. They actively work in conjunction wi

th individuals, businesses, and city officials to promote, create, and improve off-leash parks, as well as the off-leash park experience.

Received this from a person that is a regular at the dog park. Please keep your dogs under control.

"We are regular dog park visitors. Today our dog Jack got attacked by 4 dogs and had a cut under his eye. These dogs were in the small dog park before they came over to the large dog park. Obviously we're not socialized. Jack would rather run than fight. A gal was there and all that was said was "sorry about your dog" and they left. Jack wasn't even her dog. They didn't try to see if he was ok, they just left. Very disappointed by this behavior. How would they feel if it was their dog that was hurt? Hopefully the attack dogs had their shots and Jack will be ok."

The flowering plant on the west side is poisonous hemlock, which our dogs shouldn't munch on. 😟
If you've got the city's UPLINK, report it and maybe they'll remove it if enough folks complain.
