A very proud coach after this year’s Festival of Champions. 🤍

Adalynn and Claire both competed in the 14–18 Dressage Seat Equitation Finals, riding beautiful, clean, harmonious patterns. Adalynn was named Champion, and Claire finished 4th in an incredibly talented group of riders.

One of the things I am most proud of is how seriously these girls value their equitation and the foundation behind their riding. I love when one of my students comes to me and asks, “Do you mind if we have a lunge lesson today so I can focus on myself and my position?” The answer will always be yes.

I push my students to participate in equitation classes because I believe they are hugely important. Learning the correct position is only the beginning—it’s about developing feel, effective aids, quiet riding, balance, and ultimately harmony with the horse. Those basics follow you through every level of this sport.

For three years in a row, a Serenity Rose rider has finished in the top two of the 14–18 Finals:
2024 — Darian Kauk, Reserve Champion
2025 — Claire Tucker, Champion
2026 — Adalynn Nelson, Champion 🏆

I will continue encouraging my students to pursue these classes, not only because of what they teach, but because they can be a young rider’s first opportunity to step into a bigger atmosphere and realize just how big they can dream.

Outside of equitation, I couldn’t be more excited about what these girls accomplished with their horses.

Claire and her new partner, Ocean, earned several scores in the 70s at Third Level Test 3 and did a fabulous job stepping into Fourth Level Test 3. Their partnership is only beginning, and as they continue to learn and understand one another, I think it’s going to develop into something very special. 🤍

Adalynn and Custom also had a milestone week, earning two scores toward Adalynn’s USDF Silver Medal and receiving a 68% in their first time out at Fourth Level! I’m so proud of how far this pair has come and everything they have accomplished together.

What a special NAYC. 🤍

This year, we were incredibly honored to send three Serenity Rose riders to NAYC—one in U25, one in Young Riders, and one in Juniors. After an entire year of qualifying together through the highs and lows, getting to experience this championship as a team was incredibly special.

For me, this was my last NAYC as a rider, having aged out of U25. It was bittersweet, but sharing the experience with two of my students made it one I will never forget. Experiencing the same nerves, pressure, excitement, and emotions both in and out of the arena—and doing it together—was something I will always cherish.

Coco & I had an incredible first NAYC together. She finished 3rd individually in the I-2, helping anchor our team to a bronze medal, then finished 4th in the U25 Grand Prix and 5th in the freestyle. I am so proud of her, going from training level to GP in 4 years is no easy feat.

Claire & Finn had a beautiful first Young Rider championship, producing the best trot and walk work I’ve seen from them all year. When Claire felt something wasn’t right in the canter tour, she made the difficult but correct decision to retire, putting Finn’s wellbeing first. I could not be more proud of her horsemanship. Finn is home and feeling like himself again. 🤍

Adalynn & Custom put together three fantastic tests in a competitive Junior field and qualified for the freestyle. They produced their best test of the year, full of harmony and smiles, finishing 14th overall. So proud of this pair!

The results are wonderful, but the lessons, experiences, and memories we take home mean even more. A huge thank you to the parents, Region 4 supporters, Kate Mikulay, Zack Kaup, Dr. Newton, Dr. Marisa, Juliet & David, and everyone back at Serenity Rose who helped make this possible. There is so much that happens behind the scenes, and we could not do this without our incredible village.

Most of all, thank you to the SR team. No matter what was happening back home, you stopped to watch, cheer, and support your teammates. I am so grateful for the culture and community we have created.

We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team at Serenity Rose Equestrian Center!

This position focuses on daily barn chores to help keep our horses happy and our facility running smoothly.

✨ Responsibilities include:

* Feeding horses
* Hay and water
* Cleaning stalls
* Turning horses in/out
* General barn cleaning and upkeep

✨ What we’re looking for:

* Experience handling horses preferred
* Dependable
* Detail-oriented and takes pride in their work
* Able to work independently in a fast-paced barn environment

⏰ Schedule:

* Weekdays: 3:30–5:30 PM
* Weekends: AM and PM chore shifts

Tillie & Coco and Adalynn & Custom passed the FEI jog today! 🎉

Tomorrow, Adalynn and Custom will compete in the FEI Junior Team Test, while Tillie and Coco take on the U25 Intermediate II. Claire and Finn had a fantastic familiarization ride today and will complete their FEI jog tomorrow.

Work hard play hard is SR’s motto!! We had a great weekend at the Cornhusker with our barn family❤️❤️

-Adalynn and Claire both solidified their scores for NAYC and are now officially qualified. Both receiving personal bests!
-Kailyn and River went to their first ever competition together and rocked it, receiving a whooping 71.6% and is qualified for regionals in T-3!
-Tillie received two 66.9% in the U-25 GP and will be debuting their new GP freestyle at the next qualifier. Can’t wait to jam out some more with our barn fam🤪🤪

✨Transformation Tuesday✨
Melissa and Spot have come such a long way together in the last 2 years. Melissa is such a dedicated student, willing to go back to the beginning and learn the basics with a new horse. We really have worked hard alongside with Melissa’s biomechanics. She’s doing a fantastic job!!! She’s such a joy to teach. Her and Spot make quite the dynamic duo🩷🩷👏🏽👏🏽

It’s ✨transformation Tuesday✨ featuring Hadley and her cute pony Charmin. Hadley started on a lunge line for several months developing her seat and feel. Being able to focus on just her position and effectiveness of aids has been a game changer to her improvement and understanding of the basics. Starting the next generation with a correct foundation 💪🏼💪🏼

It’s another ✨Transformation Tuesday✨
I’m SO proud of this pair. They have grown so much together in the last 2.5 years. Both on the ground and under saddle, I love the bond they have. Adalynn travels 5 hours every weekend to lesson and spend time with her horse. Can’t wait to see what this competition season brings for the both of you 🩷
