🐾 Why Ethical Breeding Matters 🐾

One thing many families don’t realize is that reputable breeders are often held to very high standards.

As members of organizations such as the Pomsky Owners Association (POA), Good Dog, the International Pomsky Association (IPA), and other breeder communities, we are expected to follow strict guidelines regarding health, care, record keeping, transparency, and responsible breeding practices.

Ethical breeding is about much more than producing beautiful puppies with blue eyes or fluffy coats. It’s about prioritizing health, temperament, proper socialization, proper veterinary care, education, and lifelong support for our families, and being there for our puppy families long after pickup day.

A question we occasionally hear is, “Why are some Pomskies priced differently than others?”

It’s the countless hours spent raising them from birth, early socialization, health testing, DNA testing & matching, veterinary care, temperament evaluation, vaccinations, deworming, enrichment activities, potty training, training foundations, sleepless nights, and lifetime breeder support.

Every puppy deserves a family that values the work, care, and love that went into raising them.

At Blue Heaven Pomsky, our goal has never been to produce the most puppies. Our goal has always been to raise puppies we’re proud to call family before they become part of yours. 💙🐾

🐾 Some of these faces might look a little crazy during training time… but there’s a good reason for it. 😂

Training sessions come with some very tasty treats, and let’s just say they would do just about anything for them. Their focus goes from 0 to 100 real quick when the snacks come out! 🍖✨

The best part? They’re learning while having fun, building confidence, and picking up important skills along the way. 💙🐾

And yes, Dimitri isn’t a puppy anymore, but nobody has told him that. 😂 Whether it’s photos, playtime, training sessions, or puppy activities, he’s always right in the middle of everything acting like one of the babies.
