Last week Pippa the Bichon and I traveled to the Lake Tahoe Equine Veterinary Conference for some education and some sneaky snowboarding! The weather slowed our arrival a couple days, but we made the best of it.

Am I wrong to be excited about the snow today?🤣

In case you didn't receive the annual practice update email with the following info, my practice will be closed from January 25th through January 31st 2026, and will re-open on February 1st. I will start replying to any non-emergency messages on Monday, February 2nd.

During that time, I will be unreachable by phone, text and email. If you have a veterinary emergency, please call the usual number and the message will direct you on how to proceed for care.
Please take stock of your animals' maintenance medications and ensure you have enough to last you during that time, as the practice covering my emergencies will not have access to your records and will not be able to dispense those. Medication refills should be requested by end of business day on January 21st.

Did you see the snow today?! ❄️❄️❄️ Ok, so the photo wasn't actually today, but it did snow here!

Just a reminder that there will be no teeth floating performed on days where the actual temperature is below freezing, so you need to schedule your horses soon if they're due! I'm booking up quickly for dental visits.
