MEET TRINITY!

Elegant Trinity is an 8-year-old feline who has been with the Ohio SPCA & Humane Society since 2018, after being surrendered by her previous owner who could no longer care for her. Over the years, she’s become a beloved fixture here, a strong, graceful soul who knows exactly what she wants out of life.

Trinity isn’t high-maintenance, she’s simply a woman who enjoys her peace, her perch, and her independence. She’d be happiest in a calm, quiet home where she can spend her days watching the world go by from a sunny window or cozy blanket.

SHELTER SLEEPOVER – SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12!

Mark your calendars! The Ohio SPCA & Humane Society Adoption Center is excited to partner with JAR-Justice Animal Rescue for a special Shelter Sleepover fundraiser!

On Saturday, December 12, beginning at 7:00 PM, our participating fundraisers will have the opportunity to spend the night at the shelter with the animals they're helping support!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Gather your friends, family, coworkers, or community members and create a fundraising team!

Teams can have as many people as you'd like. You can even participate as a team of ONE!
Each team's fundraising goal is $1,000 or more.
Reach out to friends, family, coworkers, and your community to help raise money for the animals.
Participating fundraisers will enjoy a special overnight experience spending time with the animals at our shelter.
RAFFLES & 50/50 DRAWING!

You don't have to participate in the sleepover to support this event!

Raffles and a 50/50 drawing will be open to the public, with tickets available beginning one week before the event, including at our shelter's front desk.

Olive is a beautiful DSH Torti with the sweetest, most soulful eyes. She came to us from a hoarding situation and is now ready for a peaceful, loving home where she can truly relax and be cherished.

One of the most special things about Olive? Her unique little look! Her third eyelids are slightly visible, giving her an extra expressive face, but don’t worry, they don’t cause her any problems at all. And to make her even more adorable, she’s often caught doing a tiny “cat blep” (yes, her little tongue sticks out sometimes and it’s as cute as it sounds!).

Puma Thurman is a stunning 2-year-old feline who joined the Ohio SPCA & Humane Society in May 2025 as an owner surrender , and she’s been stealing the spotlight ever since. This confident queen knows exactly what she wants in life: love, playtime, and absolutely no dogs, thank you very much.

Puma is the definition of cat charisma , playful, affectionate, and always ready to strut her stuff. She gets along beautifully with other cats and would thrive in a family that appreciates her flair for the dramatic (and her excellent cuddle skills).

When we first shared our GoFundMe in October, we knew we were asking our community to step up during an incredibly difficult time.

So many of you did.

To everyone who has donated, shared our fundraiser, encouraged us, or helped spread the word, thank you. Your support has helped us continue caring for the animals who depend on us every single day.

We have several fundraising efforts and community events in the works, and we are working hard to build more long-term support for the shelter. But the reality is that we still need immediate financial help to cover the everyday costs of keeping our doors open and continuing our work.

Food, veterinary care, medications, utilities, cleaning supplies, staffing, and the basic needs of hundreds of animals do not stop while we work toward the future.

Jigsaw is an 1 years-old Collie/Jack Russell mix with a sweet personality and a heart full of love to give. He’s already neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped, so he’s completely ready to head home with his forever family!

Jigsaw is one of the last remaining pups from his litter after he and his siblings were sadly dumped. Despite his rough start in life, he hasn’t let it dim his spirit. This happy boy is ready for a fresh start and a family to call his own.

Medical gloves are something our staff uses constantly. From administering medications and caring for sick animals to cleaning enclosures, gloves help us maintain proper sanitation and reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

We're currently running very low on printer paper! Between medical records, adoption paperwork, and the countless other documents we use to keep the shelter running, printer paper is an everyday necessity. Even one ream would be a huge help!

Our neighbors at Flying Fur Pet Salon, located next door to the Ohio SPCA & Humane Society Adoption Center on Elida Road in Lima, are missing their beloved resident cat, Melvin.
Melvin occasionally roams around the property but has never wandered far from home. Unfortunately, he is now missing, and we're hoping our community can help bring him home safely!
