Please note, this is NOT the microchip company we use at Lima Veterinary Center, but if you have a pet with a microchip from Life Microchips, please be advised, they have shut down. It is possible to re-register your pet's microchip through another company. We use SmartTag, and I know they do register chips from other companies in their database. Please see the attached report.

The Texas-based company, Save This Life, has ceased operations and that could become an issue for pet owners.

Despite the power outage in Lima this morning due to yesterday's storm, Lima Veterinary Center is open thanks to our full facility generator. We have limited phone and internet service however. If you have an appointment, please make every effort to come! If you are unable to make your appointment, please try to contact us by phone as soon as possible, or send an email to [email protected]. Most of all, please be safe and make it a great day.

Did you know, every time you use a credit/debit card, the merchant pays processing fees to your credit card company? Those fees can cost them 2-4% of your total purchase! In an effort to contain costs and avoid raise our veterinary service prices, beginning Nov 15th, LVC will start passing those processing fees back to the card user instead of absorbing the cost ourselves. For those using a card, we will add a 3% fee which will be paid directly to the card company at the time of payment. For those choosing to pay by cash or check, you will be unaffected by the change.
