🧡 Meet Henry! Your next great adventure buddy.

This handsome orange tabby is just over a year old, and he’s been waiting at KHS since May 31st.

After 100+ days, Henry is officially a long-stay kitty, so his adoption fee is sponsored for a local, on-island adoption!

Henry is sweet, affectionate, playful, and FULL of personality. He loves treats, toys, boxes, paper towel rolls, and—most importantly—YOUR attention! Give him a box and some toys and this little adventurer is ready to party.

But Henry is not your average lap cat. He prefers keeping all four paws on the ground and getting his affection through pets and attention. He also has a very enthusiastic play style, using his mouth and claws when he gets carried away. His perfect person will have a little tough skin, understand cat boundaries, and LOVE an active, interactive kitty.

Henry has also decided he would rather be the only cat in the home. He wants all the toys, all the attention, and all the fun for himself!

If you’re looking for a young cat with a BIG personality, endless energy, and plenty of love to give, Henry might just be your guy.
Prepare to fall in love. 🧡

Meet Cruiser! 🩵🐶

Cruiser is a 70-pound hunk of handsome who may be 7 years old, but someone forgot to tell him he’s a kūpuna! This big Pit Bull/Hound mix has the goofy, playful energy of a much younger dog and a heart that seems to match his size.

Cruiser is incredibly friendly and absolutely loves attention. He’s the kind of guy who will happily soak up all the love you’re willing to give him, with plenty of wiggles and goofy charm along the way. During his intake and exam, he did wonderfully, and even when the excitement got the better of him, he responded well to gentle guidance and settled down.

Cruiser has also shown a wonderfully gentle interest in other dogs. When he noticed a small dog in a nearby kennel, his tail started wagging and he was clearly curious and eager to make a new friend. He showed no aggression—just that classic “Hey! Wanna play?” energy.

This big boy can get a little enthusiastic, so he’ll benefit from someone who can help remind him that not every moment needs to be PARTY TIME! With patience, consistency, and plenty of positive guidance, Cruiser is ready to show you just how much love and laughter a 70-pound goofy guy can bring into your life.

If you’re looking for a big-hearted companion with a playful spirit, a gentle nature, and enough personality to fill a room, Cruiser may be your guy. Come meet this handsome hunk and let him wiggle his way into your heart! 🩵

🫘!! It’s hard to believe that someone could abandon such a good boy, but it definitely didn’t let it dampen his spirits! That’s what getting adopted into a loving home does for a shelter pup 🥹💕

If you’re reading this from the other side of the country, wishing that you could have a Kaua’i shelter pup or cat to call your own, we can make your wish come true for just $100! 🙌

While it’s usually $700-900 to transport our animals across the ocean and beyond, a generous donor has made it possible for it to cost you only $100- anywhere in the US, and that includes the flight, kennel and everything!
