As many of you know our family is into the whole hog bbq cooking competitions and it has touched our hearts to do a benefit cook to help Justin’s (my husbands) Cousin who was diagnosed with cervical cancer! We all know how insurance can be and they are not wanting to cover certain major things her Drs are saying she needs to have done! We want to sell some bbq by the pound and whole Boston butts to help raise money for her needs both medical and financial for her and her family! If you’re able to purchase any bbq or make a donation please let us know ! If you’re unable to and just could keep her and her son daughter and husband in your prayers is much appreciated!! ❤️

Cold weather is here — and outdoor community cats need our help staying warm. ❄️

One of the best ways you can support them is by providing a winter shelter on your property. For a budget-friendly option, we suggest using a cooler: choose a smaller one if you’re caring for 1–2 cats, or a larger size if 2 or more cats will use it. Fill the shelter with loose, dry straw (not hay) to provide insulation and keep it dry. Make sure to place something heavy on top to secure the lid and prevent the cooler from shifting in wind or rain.

If you notice a cat isn’t using the shelter you provided, that’s okay — they’ve likely already found another comfortable spot of their own.

Here is a local list of stores in the Louisville area where you can purchase the cooler and straw supplies. You can also try calling local businesses like hospitals, pharmacies, and restaurants, that tend to have coolers they no longer need.
