I couldn’t have said it better!

I’m not the groomer who can always fit you in “today or tomorrow”… and honestly, I’m proud of that. ❤️🐾

For years, I overbooked myself. I said yes to everyone who needed me because I genuinely wanted to help. But eventually, I realized that constantly trying to squeeze in “just one more dog” was taking pieces of me that I couldn’t keep giving away.

The dogs were rushed.
My mind was exhausted.
My body was tired.
My personal life was pushed aside.
And my health suffered.

Grooming is a physically and emotionally demanding career, and burnout is incredibly real. Sometimes we convince ourselves that working more means we’re a better groomer or that saying “no” means we aren’t doing enough.

It doesn’t.

I’ve had to learn that 7–8 hours of intentional, focused work is enough. I don’t have to work myself into the ground to be a good groomer. I don’t have to sacrifice my family, my own appointments, my health, or my sanity to prove how much I care.

And you know what happened when I started setting those boundaries?

My clients stayed. ❤️

They rebook. They book ahead. They understand that my schedule fills because I have wonderful clients who value what I do and because I intentionally schedule my business around my life instead of trying to make my entire life revolve around my business.

That balance is important.

Because when a groomer takes care of themselves, they can take better care of your dog.

Your dog deserves a groomer who isn’t exhausted, overwhelmed, rushing through appointments, or running on empty. They deserve someone who has the time, patience, focus, and energy to give them the care they need.

So please understand that when I can’t fit your dog in today or tomorrow, it isn’t because I don’t care.

It’s because I’m protecting the quality of care I provide.

I may not always be the fastest appointment to get, but I promise you I’m worth the wait. 🐶❤️

And when I can fit you in, I absolutely will.

To my fellow groomers: setting boundaries isn’t selfish. It’s how we build careers we can actually sustain.

And to my clients: thank you for understanding, respecting my schedule, and trusting me with your dogs. You are the reason I’m able to do what I love while still taking care of the person behind the grooming table. ❤️🐾

We are beyond thrilled to share that thanks to our community’s incredible, overwhelming response, all of our dogs are safe.

We understand hearing the words at “risk of euthanasia” is incredibly hard and trust us it’s just as hard for us to say, but the heartbreaking reality is that we cannot save animals without being transparent with you about how dire the situation is. Your overwhelming response is proof that when our community knows there’s a crisis you will not let these animals down.

While we are celebrating this massive win, please remember there are always more animals in need of foster, adopters, and advocates. Thank you for being your safety net we couldn’t do this without you. 🫶🏼

🚨 CRITICAL EMERGENCY🚨 DOGS LIVES ARE AT RISK🚨

We are beyond out of space and we need the community's help NOW.

We have taken in over 100 dogs this month and have only had 35 adoptions. Every possible kennel is doubled up. Dogs are living in offices. More dogs are arriving every day.

If we cannot clear space immediately, we will be forced to make the devastating choice to euthanize healthy, adoptable dogs. We cannot avoid this without YOUR HELP!

We will be open until 7 tonight to do adoptions and fosters for anyone available to help. We open at 10am again tomorrow.

Information on the dogs at highest risk of euthanasia will be in the comments.

We need a low cost clinic y’all!

We need major donations to build this clinic for "YOU".

We want to put everything under one roof because of cost. We can definitely start spay neuter right away.

Connected will be "YOUR" full service affordable vet care. Maybe little Fluffy has a cold. We can do that. Buster has an ear infection. We can do that. How bout an xray, bloodwork, ultrasound, urinalysis, f***l test. We can do all that.

It's up to you if you think our community needs this.

Any donations over $5 thousand will go into an investment account. Your $5 thousand could go towards the list we created.

Less than $5 thousand should go to our regular donation account through our website. We plan to do "brick pavers" that will be engraved with what you want. We are looking at a company in Florida to help. But if you know anyone locally, send us their information.

The future of affordable vet care can be available for everyone. I hope you will donate.
