What is sanctuary?
Horse sanctuary is a place where a horse doesn’t have to be useful to deserve a home. It provides the horse with safety, dignity, and care for as long as it needs.
🐴 Safe housing and pasture — room to move, socialize, graze, and rest.
🌾 Food and water — appropriate hay, pasture, supplements, and special diets when needed.
🩺 Veterinary care — routine examinations as well as treatment for illness or injury.
🦶 Farrier and dental care — regular hoof trimming and dental maintenance.
❤️ Rehabilitation and emotional recovery — especially for horses that have experienced neglect, abuse, abandonment, or trauma.
🐎 Companionship — horses are herd animals, so appropriate social interaction is an important part of their welfare.
🌅 Retirement — older, injured, chronically ill, or otherwise non-adoptable horses may remain at the sanctuary for the rest of their lives.
🐎We have a large sanctuary herd that will spend their remaining days with us. Most are not rideable, have suffered severe trauma, advanced age and or have medical issues
that need daily management.
Our sanctuary herd could use your support. Please consider donating or sponsoring a sanctuary horse for as little as $10 a month. Link to signup below:
