Hey Feral Den Fans!

We donโ€™t usually post things like this here, but this one hits close to home for our family.

My brother Cody, his wife Amanda, and their daughter Caylee are walking through a really difficult season right now. Amanda is facing ovarian cancer and has a major surgery coming up soon, followed by a long road of recovery and treatment.

Weโ€™ve set up a GoFundMe to help take some of the financial pressure off their shouldersโ€”travel, medical costs, and time away from work all add up quickly.

If you feel led to give, we are incredibly grateful. And if giving isnโ€™t possible right now, sharing this post helps more than you know.

We appreciate this community so muchโ€”thank you for always showing up for people when it matters most โค๏ธ

This! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

If the guardian isnโ€™t at least 90% a guardian breed, the they should not be a working dog. Period.

Do not let people fool you with guardian mixes and say they can be guardians, because majority of the time, another breed will show play or prey drive and you will have losses.

Tuesday Training Tip - Purchasing or rearing LGDs mixed with non-LGD breeds may reduce the likelihood of proper guardian behavior. Other breeds tend to exhibit instinctual behaviors, such as herding or hunting, that could lead to prey or play drives that harm livestock. There are examples of non-LGD breeds being successful guardians, but most experts in the field would agree that the odds of success are very low.
