Two weekends ago, the team showed at Spokane Sport Horse Farm !
SO proud of my student Jessica and her mount Kingston on making their first level debut and achieving a very nice qualifying score! This team has been working hard to attain their goals, and it really shows! Way to go!! 🤩
And, all thanks to my sweet student Lisa and her rockstar horse Tru, I was able to return to the show ring myself.
The past few years my personal horse has had some issues, which kept us both out of the show ring. And unfortunately, due to a ligament injury this season, I thought I’d have to wait another year to show again.
But then, I met Lisa and Tru in May when they joined my program, and a few months later I asked if I could show him this year to go for my showing goals that have been put on hold.
I really can’t thank both Lisa, and my dedicated trainer/mentor Garyn Heidemann enough for believing in me and supporting my own showing goals, which led me to this show and achieving my bronze medal at last!
Tru is just an incredible horse! He has so much “try” and willingness, and over the past few months, has really transformed as a dressage horse. What an honor it is to work with this horse and get the opportunity to show him!
I really am just endlessly grateful for Tru, Lisa, and Garyn, and the team of people I get to have in my life that make this all possible... ❤️
Already so excited and hopeful for next show season up here! Cheers to all the special horses and humans out there and enjoy the rest of the summer season! 🥂
