We are broken to announced the passing of our “Auntie Athena”. Athena suffered a stroke yesterday and lost all control of the left side of her body. While it’s never a choice we want to make, we knew her quality of life was no longer there and her 13.5 year old body was ready. Brett and I sat with her as she peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge. While Athena never had puppies of her own, she was the best Auntie to every litter we raised. She was the first dog I titled and truly an exceptional example of the German shepherd breed. She will be forever missed.

Big man had his check up yesterday and weighed in at 29.7lbs! (He still doesn’t have his ears up😒) He received his first lepto and third combo vaccine. He will go back in three weeks for his second lepto and rabies and then we are set until next year! How are the rest of the growing?

Duke had a great check up last week. He was 19.4lbs for his 10 week check up. He did great but came home and slept most of the day. We are mastering sit, down and give. He loves to be at my feet and he is starting to learn the leash is actually a good thing! We have massive storms this week so lots of inside training. Our little man Odin is off on his next adventure to Virginia! But before he left he got a few swim lessons in! We will miss him but know his big sister cannot wait to meet him. (She is Ace’s sister!)
