A little bit of life lately! We are doing all the exploring, playing and learning from the big dogs.

Today we get to head out to the puppy yard! The rain has brought in a lot of weeds so we are doing all kinds of exploring! We also are starting temperament testing. I do this at 4, and 6 weeks. This first one is to get an initial idea of startle response, pray drive, desire to please and connection to both other animals and humans. This by no means is a where they will end up, but a good tool for me to know what exposure and training we need to be working on with each pup. It takes a while because I want to catch the pup when are active and awake so each pup is done at a different time. These litter furballs are getting more active by the day and it’s so fun to watch! I’ll try and make sure to post videos!

Morning playtime after breakfast. Last night they did amazing with the thunder storm. Unfortunately the back yard is flooded so no outside time today. Lots of indoor playtime instead.

Ok yall these babies are proving to be the hardest to get good pictures of inside! And with the weather being raining and gross, that’s my only option, so please bear with me on these photos! 🤣 in order we have the girls first: Light Blue, Purple and Pink. Then the boys: Black, Blue, Orange and Yellow. (Orange was originally Red). These babies are starting to explore and the aunties are so excited!!

It’s a big pile of sleepy puppies! We got our big kid collars on today and we had a few color changes. The girls are all the same but for the boys: Red is now Orange and Blue is now Teal. They are all tired out after all the exposure to the big dogs. Maybe I’ll lay down and take a nap with them!

Puppies are getting teeth so that means mama needs extra encouragement to sit and nurse these little sharks! It won’t be long until they are on solid food!

Ok I tried to get pictures last night but it was just not working. For one I waiting until after they got their extra formula which means they were all covered in it, but since they are so dark the lighting just wasn’t working. I will try again today with better lighting and hopefully get some good ones of each of these babies! They did get lots of snuggle time yesterday though!
