Some callings start early. 🐾

For Deana, caring for animals has been a lifelong calling.

Growing up in Texas, she was surrounded by her family’s Alaskan Malamutes, gentle giants with some seriously impressive coats.

By the age of twelve, she had already mastered the art of deshedding their massive coats and learned something that would stay with her for life:

Grooming isn’t just maintenance. It’s connection.

Those early lessons became the foundation for a career built on compassion, patience, and skill.

And today, that same patience helps dogs who may be nervous, scared, or unsure feel safe in her care. 🐶❤️

And yes… sometimes we genuinely wonder how that much dog was hiding in one dog. 🤣

Today, on Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, we remember the pets who have left paw prints on our hearts that time could never erase.

The dogs who greeted us like we’d been gone for years—even if it was only five minutes. The cats who claimed our favorite chair. All of the pets who were there through ordinary days, big milestones, hard seasons, and some of the happiest moments of our lives.

They may no longer be beside us, but the love they gave us never really leaves. ❤️

🐶 The “I LOVE YOU, STRANGER!” dog
🐶 The “I’m not sure about you yet” dog
🐶 The “touch my feet and we have a problem” dog
🐶 The “I will simply stand here and tolerate this” dog

🐶 GROOMING MYTH: “My dog doesn’t need grooming because they have short hair.”

Not necessarily! 👀

Short-coated pups may not need the same type of haircut as a long-coated breed, but they can still benefit from regular grooming and coat maintenance.

Brushing can help remove loose fur and keep their coat looking its best, while nail and ear care are still important parts of their overall grooming routine. 🐾

Every dog is different, so their grooming needs should be based on their individual coat, lifestyle, and needs — not just their haircut. ❤️
