This day 2020, American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Charlie Daniels died age 83 of a hemorrhagic stroke. He is best known for his contributions to Southern rock, country, and bluegrass music and scored the 1979 number-one country hit “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”. He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2008, the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2009 and the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2016.

We may have hummers by end of March, even this weekend calls for 3 days of snow.

Our backyard has 2 bluebird nest boxes and 2 hummingbird feeders, and 2 seed feeders. The birds love the berry nut seed and the berry souit. Squirrels knock plenty of seed to the ground for all the small birds and the pigeons. They climb up for seed until they get full.

Early this morning a white baby dove (not pictured) came to a branch near our bird feeders but flew away. Interesting!!

I had never seen a House Finch up close. They are in our backyard now eating. Pretty little birds. Love the red.
