A couple of weeks ago, the Tito’s Handmade Vodka team joined forces with the LHS crew at our Malcomb Campus for their Block to Block initiative—and they came ready to work! Together, we tackled several projects across our campus, made possible by their incredible $25,000 sponsorship for campus beautification and animal enrichment.
One of our favorite additions? A brand-new mural celebrating 10 LHS alumni, chosen through a raffle of previously adopted pets and brought to life by local artist Brett Hartsfield.
We’re also so excited about our new enrichment walk, a path complete with benches for visitors, volunteers, and staff to sit while walking dogs, plus plenty of dog-safe plants for our pups to sniff and explore along the way. Even our bunnies got some love, too! The Tito’s team helped us build a brand-new outdoor enclosure for safe hopping during enrichment time.
If you’ve visited campus recently, you may have also noticed some of the indoor changes. Our dog room now has calming curtains and treat chutes at each kennel, allowing for safe treat distribution while keeping kennels finger-free.
We’re so grateful to Tito's Handmade Vodka for rolling up their sleeves and helping make our campus a more beautiful, enriching, and welcoming place for animals and the people who care for them! 🧡🐾
