Paws 4 the Cause is non profit organization dedicated to rescuing animals from extreme situations!

We are currently developing our community center in downtown Lexington which will feature an expanded kennel area and low cost spay/neuter. 100% of all donations go directly to pay for outreach housing, food and medical needs for stray and indigent animals, and to help other organizations who participate in such needs. 🐾 Paws 4 the Cause Rescue is Looking for an Intern! 🐾

Are you passionate about animals and interested in gaining hands-on experience in animal rescue, veterinary services, the non-profit sector, or office administration? We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to join our team!

Availability: Monday–Friday

Responsibilities may include:
✅ Assisting in processing adoption applications
✅ Making phone calls and responding to inquiries
✅ Scheduling meetings and appointments
✅ Assisting with animal care when needed
✅ Cleaning and organizing
✅ Running errands
✅ General administrative support

Ideal Candidate:
🐶 Loves animals and is compassionate
📋 Organized and detail-oriented
📝 Follows directions well
💬 Has strong communication skills
🤝 Reliable and eager to learn

This is a wonderful opportunity to gain valuable experience in the rescue, veterinary, and nonprofit fields while making a difference in the lives of animals.

WE NEED FOSTERS DESPERATELY!! Please open your heart and your home to some of our rescues. Fosters must be located in the Lexington, Georgetown, or nearby areas due to the location of the upcoming vet appointments. Fosters have the first right to adopt if the match is a good fit for both the rescue and the foster family.

We also currently have many loving dogs at the kennel who are still in need of foster homes. Fostering one of these waiting dogs will open up a spot for another dog to be saved. We receive hundreds of pleas for help every month. Animals across Kentucky are in crisis right now, and without fosters, we cannot save more lives.

URGENT A FOSTER DOG HAS SLIPPED HER HARNESS.... dolly was last seen at 108 thistle way in Georgetown wearing a blue collar and dragging a black leash at 11:00 a.m. this morning... Arturo is a very sweet 4 to 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier . He was born with a birth defect that makes him walk funny but does not stop him from doing everything . It is Arturo special cha cha in life. He very loving and sweet. He loves big when your his person. He is neutered, up to date on shots and heartworm negative . He would be a great companion and family member.
