OVS is looking for Kennel Help! This position will help walk, feed, and look after the boarded pets every other weekend. This position will come on Saturday Morning from 8:00am until 9:30am and Saturday night at 4:30-5:30. Sunday will be from 8:00am until 9:30am and Sunday night from 4:30-5:30. Benifits of Early Pregnancy Ultrasound for Your Cattle Herd

🔴 When pre planning your fall preg checking protocol, consider using ultrasound 30 days after the removal of the bull from the herd.
●Benefits include:
○ Ability to more accurately age the fetus
○ Ability to more accurately determine fetal s*x
○ Decreases your calving window making calving in the spring easier
○ Convienience of being able to give fall vaccinations at the same time

🔴 Identifing open cattle in your herd early is crucial in ensuring you are making the most economical choice for your program.
● Open cows cost approx $2 per day to feed over the winter to keep her to re-breed her again the following season.
●If culling your open cows, preg checking eariler with ultrasound would allow you to pull them sooner and feed to weigh up to sell
