This adorable girl underwent both a TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) and an MPL (Medial Patellar Luxation) repair today!

That's a lot for one little pup, but Baisley was an absolute sweetheart and such a good girl for our surgical team! 🥰

We’re trading the OR for the airport and heading to Charlotte, NC for the ACVS Surgery Summit! 🐾🩺

Meet Adakis, Dr. Schroyer’s handsome boy, who recently underwent a TPLO with LexVet Mobile Surgery at Animal Care Clinic.

It’s always special when another veterinarian trusts our team with one of their own pets, and Adakis was such a sweet patient. He was pretty happy to have his dad right there with him. 🐶❤️

Now it’s on to healing, recovery, and the ever-popular TPLO challenge of convincing a dog that activity restriction is not merely a suggestion. 😂

Big dog = big anesthesia setup! 🐾💉

This is what it can take to anesthetize a large dog and keep him comfortable throughout surgery. Each syringe has its own job, from getting our patient peacefully asleep to providing pain control and helping keep anesthesia smooth and comfortable from start to finish.

Anesthesia isn’t just “putting them to sleep.” It’s carefully calculated medications, constant monitoring, and a whole lot of attention from the surgical team while our patient enjoys the most expensive nap of his life. 😴❤️

Sweet Ethel, Dr. Hughes’ kitty, needed a little surgical help today.

It’s definitely different when the patient belongs to someone on our own team, but Ethel was in very good hands from start to finish. ❤️
She may not look particularly thrilled about her hospital stay 😂, but we’re happy we could be there for her when she needed us.

Trixie is about as sweet as they come. 🥹🐾 She had a tail amputation with us and handled her surgical day like an absolute little champ. She was perfectly content soaking up some extra cuddles afterward, because apparently recovery is easier when you have a personal staff member assigned to snuggling duties. 😂🧡

We previously performed a TPLO on Luna’s sister, and now it was Luna’s turn! She did wonderfully through surgery and was such a good girl for us. Now both sisters are officially part of the TPLO club and on their way to getting back to doing all the things they love! 🦴💪

Meet Gizmo! 🐾💙
This super sweet boy had a TPLO to help stabilize his knee after a cranial cruciate ligament injury. He was an absolute sweetheart for us and handled his surgery day like a champ. 🥰
Now comes the hard part: rest, recovery, and keeping those puppy-dog eyes from negotiating his way out of activity restrictions. 😂
