Gone in the blink of an eye.😭 I have the goats munching down the dog yard, so the dogs have been in the house primarily for 3 days. Last night I let them out to potty and a neighbor drove by and accidentally hit Rolo. I feel soooo incredibly awful!!! We rarely ever have vehicles here and he had become so hard of hearing. I thought he had just been bumped because his back end wasn't working right. But, by the time I carried him into the house, I knew things were far worse. He died in my arms within 15 minutes. Although he was retired from breeding, he has sired so many wonderful babies that I know his legacy and sweet temperament lives on. I am heartbroken as I set out today to put him in his final resting place. Good bye Rolo, you are forever in out hearts.🐾🌈 🐾

"they would, dorothy is such a clever girl and definitely knows how to instigate trouble. she’s a cheeto bandit too and will make the toddler ask for snacks for the both of them. they share ice cream and the baby even tries to drink out of the dog bowl 😂"

One of my puppy people just did the most amazing and generous thing for me.....after being a victim of my dino-computer, they took pity on me and shipped me a new laptop!!!!!! Wow, just wow. I am so excited about this blessing right now. My old laptop has been through so much, like 10 years of homeschooling, running multiple small businesses and of course all my volunteer stuff like the sports photography for the kiddos, 4-H and more. The poor thing has been jam packed for years and most recently wouldn't remain turned on unless plugged in at all times. And Heaven help me when the plug would fall out, which of course is so worn and loose, that was a regular occurrence. Those times would cost me usually an hour to boot back up😔😜.
Super excited for the many fresh opportunities this will grant me. I always manage to get the best families for my puppies, but this is a whole new angle and ball game.🎉

Once again, grieving a loss.😭 Twizzler is from my very first litter of shelties and was very dear to our hearts. She was from Suede and Skittles. She turned 11 last week and died quite suddenly from stomach cancer last night even after surviving surgery a few months ago to remove growths. She waited for my son to get home from work so they could say good bye. Twizzler was such a huge part of our family.....shown by Gabe for many years and always a favorite for Zach. When Zach lost Tex, his border collie, she went to live with him the moment he had quarters off post and could take her. There she has spent many spoiled years with him. Tonight there is a void in all our hearts as she joins her daddy Suede (gone just weeks ago😥) over the rainbow 🌈 bridge. Gonna miss you Twizzler aka Twizzy Dizzy, Twizzle Dizzle, Two face Twizz.

Please keep Suede and his wonderful family in your prayers. His body is done on this earth and the services to help him...

Please keep Suede and his wonderful family in your prayers. His body is done on this earth and the services to help him pass are hopefully coming tomorrow afternoon. This family has loved him more than words can express and he has returned their love wholeheartedly. He is their first one and they are struggling.

When they came to me years ago, I had no puppies at the time. They told me that they didn't know what to do as they had researched breeds thoroughly but in the end, didn't know if they wanted a couch potato pug or an active shelties.lol. We had long talks about what they had in mind. I offered to loan Suede to them until my litter was born. What better than a push button, couch potato sheltie to help them decide. This also gave them the opportunity to see if the girls were going to live up to the responsibility of having a dog. He fast became the love of their lives....staying at her feet while she worked, walking the girls to school and back, trips to the park. They did it all. I didn't have the heart to take him back so we worked a plan for me to borrow him back when a girl came into heat. This triggered adventures on ferries many times. When they came down on orders to move to Virginia, I had his semen collected and signed him over to them. Since then he has lived in Texas, Germany, back to Virginia and now Colorado. He has been as spoiled as any dog can EVER be. This was truly a match made in heaven! I pray his passing is peaceful for both them and him and that they just cherish all the lovely memories they have had. Blessings to you Suede as you fly over the 🌈 bridge.🐾🐾🐾

They are officially past the rat, guinea pig stage and are currently embracing the fuzzy caterpillar stage.🤣
Another week and they will be official puppies.
