Erin and her family are still living in the Kentucky mountains and Melissa and Pete have been managing the PetGurl along with awesome helpers, Chris and Tia.

This is Erin, Melissa’s daughter (I am not the owner and in town for an appointment but need to pick up my son in eastern ky where I live or would help this poor baby myself.

Speedway by 75 on Paris pike, I pulled up and saw people gathered around a kitten who appears to me injured or hit. It’s alive and needs help. Animal control is closed but I’ve left messages. I am writing this here to reach Lexington animal lovers bc I feel sick I couldn’t do more but I have to get my son or he has no way home. They took the kitten away from the pump and away from cars but it’s just sitting there on the side of the building. Please if you know anyone in the area that can her this cat to a vet, it’s alive and I think has a chance if we get it help. Ask the speedway people for more info. I’m just posting this to get the poor thing help.

It’s with great sadness we let y’all know one of our former sitters, Tracy Warren, has passed away. Tracy was the first sitter we brought on other than my mom. She helped us realize we could have people help us and be more effective that way. She hasn’t been with us in a few years but we tried keeping in touch, always wanting the best for her as you do when you have people that part of your life. She had some health issues that kept her in the hospital the past few months. I (this is Erin, Melissa’s daughter) had just text her and was trying to go by to see her but my kids dad died so I had to put it off. I wish I had tried to go see her a little harder.

Tracy was a teacher by day and worked throughout Fayette County. Most recently at Deep springs elementary. She also worked at pet suites in the recent years. She was a cat girl and loved her cats. She was very close with her mom
I know and now they are reunited. She leaves behind her brother as well as many others that loved her . She was only 52 years old.

I know it has been some time but a few of you in the Hamburg area may remember her. She will always be part of The Pet Gurl story. This pic is from a photo shoot we did when we redid the site. You will be missed Tracy.
