Metabolic health continues to be an important conversation for horse owners. 🐴

We recently featured Hagyard Equine Medical Institute veterinarian Dr. Michelle Frazer on The Plaid Horse Plaidcast, where she discussed equine metabolic disease and what owners can do to better understand and manage their horses’ health.

Building on that conversation, this research coming out of the University of Kentucky Maxwell H. Gluck Equine Research Center provides valuable additional insight into metabolic health and the science helping veterinarians better understand these complex conditions.

Grayson has supported research aimed at improving our understanding of equine gastric health, ulcer prevention, nutrition, and treatment, and current Grayson-funded work continues to investigate questions such as pre-exercise feeding and gastric acidity.
