Humane Society of Davidson County For more than 40 years, the HSDC has worked to reduce the pet overpopulation problem, and alleviate animal suffering.

The Humane Society of Davidson County is a non-profit, no-kill volunteer organization dedicated to the welfare of animals and residing in Davidson County, North Carolina. We have educated the public about the needs of animals, and promoted laws that benefit animals. Over the years, we have saved the lives of thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens, thereby working to reduce the serious problem of overpopulation.

🐾😢🐾 Look at all of these sweet dogs that need to go to a rescue! I should have said in this post that these are dogs that are in the Davidson County NC animal shelter. You will need to call them tomorrow for more information!
We are the Humane Society an all volunteer group not part of the county pound. We are just trying to help find other Foster’s for these dogs. All of our fosters are full! If you have a fenced in yard would you consider fostering one of these? All it will cost you is LOVE and TIME!

🐾❤️🐾 A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE YOUNG COUPLE that helped me rescue this sweet young dog out of the middle of West Center st right in front of bank OZK today about 4:00 pm , ( you were a God Send) Unfortunately I didn’t have the presence of mind to ask their names they were wonderful! He got out in the middle of Center st and got the collarless dog over to my car while she kept the dog occupied I got out a leash and both of them picked him up and put him in the back of my car! Thanks also to my friends that offered their back yard and homes for the night. BUT as we were riding around looking for someone looking for a dog we found two Humane Society members out on Center St looking for the dog ! They were helping their neighbor look for the dog! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
It truly takes a village to make things happen! What a GREAT ENDING for all of us! 🥰🐾🐕🐾🥰
