Despite being a low-energy bird, the Chocolate Orpington does like her space. Give each chicken at least four-square-feet of coop space. If your flock is mixed, give them at least six square feet. This is because the Chocolate Orpington will probably get bullied by more assertive flock members and needs plenty of room to escape. Ensure that each bird has eight to 10 inches of perching space so they can easily unfold and stretch their wings. Nesting boxes should be 12×12 inches. The confined outside roaming space should be at least eight to 10 feet long. Straw, wood shavings, or h**p should be used as bedding inside the coop. Make sure to thoroughly clean out the coop and replace the bedding every week. If you allow your Chocolate Orpington chickens to free range, always keep a close eye on them.

Now my dwarf-Cochin breeding line in pear-grey spleen is together.☺️This consist of 2 rosters and 10 hens. I’m sure you’ve discovered the 2 modern English midget fighters😂They stay in the group here too, since they lay completely different eggs, that’s no problem. This group will stay together for the first time until my 2 sparrow rosters get a couple of hens. But I still have a long time before I hatch the dwarf Cochin again.

Hatching season has wrapped up and grow outs are progressing well. I have several roosters left that would be a good option to introduce new blood into your Lavender Orpington flock or as a protector for a large fowl flock. These big boys can also be beautiful lawn ornaments. They are gentle giants that have shown no human aggression.
