🚨We initially had a lot of interest in a Canine Good Citizen program, but very few have signed up. If we don’t get enough interest in doing this, we will have to cancel the practices and testing!🚨

The plan is to have two classes on 9/12 and 9/19 prior to testing. These classes are for Tux and Tails clients ONLY, and the cost is $50 per class.

Getting my van back today after not having it for 10 days! The right passenger wheel bearing went out and the part has been on backorder. I’ve been borrowing my mom’s car. Only downside is I don’t have the room in my mom’s car that I do in my van for equipment and dogs. I’ll be so excited to get it back today. Thank you to everyone for being patient when it comes to me being sick and without a vehicle. Enjoy the picture of when I very first picked it up over a year and a half ago. 🚐

We tried something new at group training yesterday: “Musical Downs” 🎶 🎵 The goal is to get your dog to lay down as quickly as possible once the music stops!

Freedom isn’t the first step—it’s earned through structure.

Before dogs can safely enjoy off-leash group play with dogs they don’t know, they need to master something much less exciting: calmness.

Holding a place command. Settling around distractions. Respecting boundaries. Being able to exist around other dogs without constantly needing to interact.

Because a dog that can’t be calm around other dogs isn’t ready for the freedom of group play.
