Hello TBP Team,

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for being part of this journey with us. The Bugg Plug is still here and still moving forward — we’ve just been working quietly behind the scenes.

About a year ago, Kathy and I decided to split our business partnership, and I (Brian) took over day-to-day operations of The Bugg Plug. Since then, I’ve been focused on restructuring and building a stronger foundation for the future.

During that time we attempted to transition our website over to Shopify, which ultimately didn’t end up being the right fit for us. As we’ve worked through those changes, we also launched FruitFlies.com, with the goal of becoming a leading supplier of feeder insects both online and at reptile shows.

With limited time and resources, I’ve had to focus on one project at a time to make sure everything is done the right way. The good news is that The Bugg Plug website is next. We now have a new designer lined up and I’ll be meeting with them in the coming weeks to begin building the new version of the site.

Our goal is to bring TBP back stronger than ever and once again make it your one-stop shop for invertebrates, reptiles, and feeders.

I truly appreciate everyone’s patience and continued support while we work through these changes and rebuild our online presence.

Hello TBP Crew, we are on a temporary heat advisory. I will not be shipping out any animals this week to ensure safety of these little guys. I do apologize as it’s my mission to get shipments out timely and prompt. But our highest concern is ensuring your orders are sent out in safe weather. 100 degrees is simply to hot and I can almost guarantee that nothing will arrive alive. I plan to regroup next week and get orders out.

Alright y’all…
This Friday, from 12 to 4 PM, we’re doing something we’ve never done before — and I mean that.

I’m finally going live on Palm Street to showcase the Fire line.
Not just one animal. Not just an auction.
This is the first time I’m showing the full scope of what Fire can do — and what we’ve been working on behind the scenes since the late 2010s.

Back in 2023, we produced The Blizzard, the first Black-Eyed Leucistic, and we named her Bella.
She’s healthy, clean, and real.
Fast forward to 2025 — the supers can breed. The crosses are producing absolute 🔥. And I’ve hatched 400+ babies this year alone.

Haven’t sold a single one yet.

Last night was wild—we pulled a record-breaking 35 eggs in one go! 🔥 Our girls are plugged and primed, and this season is turning out to be one for the books. Hatch day can’t come soon enough, and we’ve got a wave of baby geckos still on the way! 🐣
