Venom was pretty good for his 5th ride and 1st in an arena. He hasn’t been hauled anywhere for the last 4 months. He definitely tried his best today!

One of my Goals in the next 2-3 years is to go on a pack hunt in Colorado. I don’t just want to “go” I plan to take my horses and use them. I’ve slowly been checking things off the list that the horses and myself will need to know. Not just out there but on trips here in Oklahoma as well. My husband got a deer the other day so now that it’s dry out today I practiced packing the pelt and head.
He got in late so we had to put the rest up. Hopefully his next will be in the morning and we can practice with the whole thing!
I only introduced Venom for now and the others got used to the sight and smell. This was my first time with the knots and everything, I trotted Venom around and nothing moved! We will practice in every way we can with a saddle but I do plan to purchase a pack saddle and panniers of coarse. So very happy with how he took everything❤️🦌

I don’t normally open up training spots come fall/ winter but I am considering opening a c**t start spot or tuneup spot very soon!

w/t/l ponied Venom with floppy saddle bags and lariat. Rode him at a lope under saddle for the first time today as well and he was perfect! This will be his last ride in a halter next we are moving to loping hack.

Day 1 of hobble training for Doll and Venom, they took right to it! So well in fact we will work on it outside of the round pen tomorrow.

Solid 2nd ride for Venom. I’m going to get him good and started with 20 or so rides and leave him alone for the winter. This way he’ll be ready to get to work come spring with a solid foundation already in place.
Bear with me on the video it’s hard to get videos when your phone is propped up on tree branches😅

My summer with Doll has gone exactly to plan🖤
She’s learned so much and sure enough has proven herself. More videos to come over the next few weeks of things she’s learned! Still have a few things on the bucket list before the year is over!
It’s taken a lot to get her to learn how to actually use her body and seeing her tuck up underneath herself on her own makes me so proud of her!

Bugsy or as I call him Gigantor😂

It’s been busy around here! My best friend broke her foot so I am keeping her projects and clients horse going! The Black mare came to her very very thin and is looking much better than she did a few weeks ago. We think she’s going to be pretty large when her weight catches up. She will be available for sale once she has learned all ground work.
The gorgeous mountain of a horse (pics don’t do him justice) is just needing rides which I am excited to help with as I have NEVER rode anything this tall! He is right around 17hh we will have to measure to be sure. He’s going to be so much fun!
