🐾 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT — UPDATED APPOINTMENT POLICIES 🐾
I have gone back and forth about making this post, but unfortunately, the increasing number of last-minute cancellations and no-show appointments has made it necessary.
First and foremost, I completely understand that life happens. Emergencies come up, kids get sick, schedules change, and sometimes things are simply out of our control. I have always tried to be understanding and accommodating, and that isn’t going to change.
However, there is a difference between an unexpected situation and a lack of communication.
When you schedule an appointment at Dapper Dogs, that time is reserved specifically for your dog. I plan my day around those appointments and often turn away other clients because that time is already spoken for.
When someone cancels at the last minute, arrives significantly late, or simply doesn’t show up, it affects more than just my schedule. It affects my income, my ability to accommodate other clients, and the time I have set aside for each dog.
My time is valuable, and I am asking that it be treated as such.
Effective IMMEDIATELY, the following appointment policies will be enforced:
🐾 CANCELLATIONS
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
🐾 LATE CANCELLATIONS
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in a fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service.
🐾 NO-SHOWS
Failure to show up for a scheduled appointment without any communication will result in a fee equal to 100% of the scheduled service.
🐾 LATE ARRIVALS
Clients arriving more than 10 minutes late to their scheduled appointment will be required to reschedule. If the appointment cannot be accommodated due to late arrival, the 50% late cancellation fee will apply.
🐾 FUTURE APPOINTMENTS
Any outstanding cancellation or no-show fees must be paid before another appointment can be scheduled. Repeated offenses may result in refusal of future appointments.
I am not asking for anything unreasonable. I am simply asking for communication, consideration, and respect for the time reserved for your pet.
A simple phone call or text message can make all the difference.
Genuine emergencies will always be taken into consideration on a case-by-case basis. This policy is not intended to punish anyone for circumstances beyond their control.
I love what I do, and I am incredibly grateful for the clients who consistently show up, communicate, and support my small business.
But at the end of the day, this is my livelihood, not just a hobby. Every missed appointment is time and income that I cannot get back.
Thank you for understanding and respecting the time I dedicate to caring for your dogs. 🤎🐾
