Jones Family & Versatility Horses

We had the opportunity to host the Spoon River CEO students! It’s so important for young people to see firsthand that there are so many different ways to build a career, grow a business, and create a life around something you’re passionate about. We’re always happy to share the good, the hard, & everything in between. We hope they left feeling encouraged to dream big, work hard, ask questions, & know that they don’t have to follow one specific path to be successful. A chance to teach that integrity in business is everything… 🙌🏽

Thank you so much for coming out and spending the morning with us, such a fantastic program for our young adults!

Learning The Ropes 🐴

Students took their learning to the barn this week when they visited Carli & Wyatt Jones, owners of Jones Family & Versatility Horses in Lewistown, IL. Wyatt & Carli not only offered an abundance of knowledge on all-things horses, but also a vast amount of insight on what it takes to turn a passion into a business.

Carli & Wyatt’s story was a great example of the effort it takes to operate a family-owned business. From caring for the horses, to managing the day-to-day operations, to marketing in a way that stands apart from the rest, the Jones Family has clearly put in the time and hard work it takes to grow a business that is thriving.

This visit was the perfect reminder that CEO is what you make of it, and that anyone can learn valuable information from any business owner, regardless of the career field they are in.

A huge thanks goes out to Carli and Wyatt for welcoming our students and for giving them such a genuine, authentic glimpse into their world as entrepreneurs!

…….BIG NEWS! 🤠

Beginning September 28th, Jones Family & Versatility Horses will be spending the winter in Lampasas, Texas! We’ll be based in Central Texas through February 2027 and we are incredibly excited about what this opportunity means for our program. Over the years, our business has continued to grow through the people we meet, the connections we make, & the places our horses take us. Spending the winter in Texas gives us the opportunity to expand our network, connect with new buyers & horsemen, expose our horses to new environments and opportunities, and continue growing our program outside of our usual area..

But we want to make one thing very clear: Jones Family & Versatility Horses is still business as usual. We will continue developing and selling the same type of good-minded, versatile horses our program is known for. We’ll simply be doing it from a new location! And for our Midwest customers, we aren’t disappearing! We will continue to have connections and availability back home, and we actually have horses available THIS WEEK for anyone wanting to find their next partner before we head south.

This move is something we’re really excited about. It gives us the chance to broaden our reach while continuing to build the program we’ve worked so hard on and hopefully bring even more great horses and opportunities to our customers along the way. So whether you’re in Illinois, Texas, or somewhere in between, keep following along. We have a feeling this winter is going to be a fun one..

We put these sales together because we love taking good horses, putting the time into them, and finding the kind of homes where they’ll truly be appreciated. We’re really proud of this group, the opportunity to showcase our program, and so thankful for the people behind each one of these horses’ next journeys. We are excited to share where they’re headed and celebrate each match.

Thank you to everyone who followed along, shared, bid, asked questions, and trusted our program. We’re truly grateful for every bit of support. With more updates to come 🤍
