“Welcome back to Veterinary Horrors… 👻🐾

Things your pet swallowed that turned an ordinary night into a veterinary nightmare.

So grab your flashlight, check your floors, and whatever you do… keep a close eye on what your pets put in their mouths. 💀🩺”

This sweet girl stopped by and brought a little extra sunshine to our fall season! 🐱💛
Treats may not be on the menu, but cuddles and her favorite birdie definitely are!

Stay golden, Goldie! 🧡 We are so happy to have you!

Meet Jethro, a 4 year old dachshund! 💙🐾 This sweet boy and his family just moved in the area and decided to scope out their new surroundings with a walk.

Jethro’s mom noticed that Jethro was nibbling on something he shouldn’t, and a good thing she paid attention because this sweet boy ate rat poison! 🐀 She acted quickly and brought him right into the office where we took care of him! Thankfully, he is on the mend!

As Halloween approaches, please be mindful of what will be around pets! As always, we are always here for you and your pets!

If you suspect your pet has eaten something they shouldn’t, please call the clinic at (716) 754- 7422 🐾

Introducing our new series: Veterinary Horrors! 🎃

Forget ghosts and goblins… some of the scariest things we see are MUCH smaller.

Fleas, ticks, heartworms, intestinal parasites — oh my! These creepy crawlers can cause serious frightening problems for our pets 🕷️

The good news? This horror story doesn’t have to have a scary ending. Keeping your pet on year round prevention is the best way to keep away unwanted guests! 🪳🚫

Don’t let parasites give your pet a fright! 👻
Give our clinic a call for more information or a refill on preventatives. Let’s keep the creepy crawlies in the Halloween decorations, not on your pets! 🕷️🎃”

Did you know 10/1 - 10/7 is walk your dog week?
Did you also know through the month of October, The Hugo Foundation is raising money for pet emergencies across WNY?

Lewiston Animal Hospital challenges YOU and your pupper to walk a mile once a day every day for October 🎃 If the weather does not allow for walking, busy schedule, or your pup is actually a kitty, we still encourage stimulation activities! If you need some ideas here is the link:

So grab your leash, your furry friend and get walking!
