🎃🐾 DAY 12 OF THE COMPETITION! 🐾🎃
It’s honestly sad that this even needs to be a post, and I’m starting to regret joining what was supposed to be a fun community competition. Of course, we’d LOVE to win the plaque! 🏆 But we also want to keep this fun, friendly, and fair for everyone!
What started as a great idea has turned into something that’s taking away from the fun and community spirit this competition was meant to bring. I LOVE seeing everyone take pictures of our display with their dogs and hearing people talk about how festive and amazing Lewiston looks! 🎃🐶❤️
This competition has brought incredible publicity to Lewiston, and so many people have made the trip to see the scarecrows. Watching our community come alive and seeing everyone enjoy the displays has been one of the best parts of this entire experience! 🎃👏
The current contest includes virtual voting, foot traffic, and customer votes.
If you’re in my contacts, there’s a 99% chance you’ve received a message from me asking you to vote! People can vote from anywhere, and sharing with family, friends, coworkers, sports teams, social groups, and entire households is part of the fun. As a small business that’s a little off the beaten path, social media is one of our best ways to spread the word!
We are NOT using bots! We’re not sure if this is directed towards us specifically or numerous businesses. We don’t even know how to use bots, and we don’t own a computer! We’re not exactly a tech-savvy household! Our votes have come from real people who want to support us. Is it really so hard to believe that 125 real people could vote in one day when a virtual contest is shared throughout families, households, and communities?
Our clients, families, friends, kids’ sports teams, and communities have helped spread the word, and we’re beyond grateful for every single vote, share, and kind word!
We may not have the biggest foot traffic because we’re off the beaten path, but we have an AMAZING community behind us, and we couldn’t do this without you! ❤️🐾
And I’ll be the first to admit that people in my own household, including me, have voted for other scarecrows, too! There are some seriously AMAZING displays out there! 🎃👏 We can be competitive and want to win while still appreciating everyone’s creativity, hard work, and dedication. Supporting our favorites doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate everyone else, too!
Perhaps a few changes could help make future competitions more enjoyable for everyone. Having judges rather than relying on virtual voting could help reduce concerns about voting and keep the focus on creativity, effort, and community spirit. The goal should be to celebrate everyone’s hard work, encourage friendly competition, and continue bringing people into Lewiston to enjoy the Halloween displays and support our local businesses.
Let’s keep this FUN, keep the friendly competition going, and celebrate everything that makes Lewiston so special! We can all want to win while still being respectful, supportive, and proud of what this community has accomplished together. ❤️🧡
🙏🎃 PLEASE KEEP VOTING AND SHARING FOR ALL YOUR FAVORITES! 🎃🙏
🐾 Vote every 24 hours!
🧡 ONLY TWO CLICKS!
🎃 Every vote makes a difference!
Thank you for showing up for Endless PAWSibilities and supporting our small business. Every vote, share, and person who takes the time to visit our display means more than you know. We appreciate you all so much! 🐶❤️
