🐾LET’S DO SOME DOG MATH. 🐾
Let’s do some dog math when you have 35 dogs… and only 30 runs.
That means 35 dogs still need a safe, clean place to sleep, daily exercise, attention, enrichment, love, and care.
Now add in flea and tick prevention.
Add dewormer.
Add food.
Add cleaning supplies.
Add medications and vet care.
Add laundry.
Add endless bowls to wash, kennels to clean, floors to scrub, and messes to pick up.
Now add zero current active volunteers and only ONE active foster.
So here’s the question:
How do we keep our doors open?
How do we keep up with the day-to-day work and still give every dog the attention and interaction they need to stay happy, healthy, safe, and well-adjusted?
Because sheltering dogs isn't just about putting them in a run and making sure they have food and water.
These dogs need people.
They need someone to take them outside.
They need someone to sit with them.
They need someone to play with them.
They need someone to help them learn that people can be kind.
They need fosters to give them a break from shelter life.
They need adopters to give them a forever home.
And right now, we are stretched incredibly thin.
We aren't posting this to make anyone feel guilty. We're posting because we genuinely need help.
If you've ever thought about volunteering, fostering, donating, helping with supplies, walking a dog, cleaning a kennel, transporting an animal, or simply spending some time giving these dogs attention—
Now is the time.
We cannot do 35 dogs with 30 runs, one foster, and no active volunteer team forever.
🐾The dogs need us. But right now, we need you. 🐾
If you can help in any way, please reach out.
Let’s do some dog math… and figure out how we keep these doors open. ❤️🐶
