His hide and go seek game is top notch!

Do you know about this special dog that can sometimes be spotted at Child Inspired?!
🐾Children learn to attend to & notice the needs of others, develop responsibility, and build empathy when they are supported in learning to care for living things (even a house plant or pet fish).
🐾Integrating an animal into therapy sessions (particularly with a provider with advanced training) propels the development of emotional awareness and emotional intelligence, as well as behavior modification. It can remove the stigma or sense of shame that often comes with addressing behavioral concerns directly with a child by helping them observe and reflect on the behaviors of an animal. (Is the dog barking because it is sending a warning or trying to get a need met?)
🐾Learning is so fun and so rewarding when it happens as part of a shared experience!

Saw a unicorn this week… not one but two handlers working their dogs at the same time. They worked for a few moments and kept walking. 🦄
Color me impressed. And no, I do not know them but I applaud them. 👏 effort + time = results

Effective May 22nd, your Emotional Support Animal (ESA) no longer has HUD protections. The charts that go around defining the difference between a Service Animal (Assistance animal) a Therapy Dog and an ESA need an update. The only protection extends to a trained assistance dog. My hunch is that some assistance handlers will welcome this and on the other side, there might a lot of folks looking to rehome their dogs who are no longer welcome in pet free buildings. What do you think?
