If anyone lives in that area and finds out if the dog has been caught, please message me as soon as possible. We do not live in the area and aren’t able to actively search as the last sighting was 8:45 am yesterday. The people who saw the dog thinks it looks like Lucy’s picture but still uncertain of s*x. Today marks a year since Lucy disappeared. We just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has cared, and especially to those who have assisted in any way in helping us find her. We’ve seen the messages and followed up on all the leads, even if we haven’t responded or been active on this page in awhile.

I am going to follow this post with another Lost Dog post including all of her Info, so please, share that next post all over the place. Particularly for those of you who are local, and please keep a lookout over this next week in case you see or hear of anyone visiting from out of town with an adorable red dachshund.

Thank you so much to everyone contacting me about the female dachshund recently found in Smyrna and currently at Brandywine SPCA. It isn't Lucy. She looks very similar but there are some color differences and she's younger than Lucy.

DESCRIPTION: She is 8 years old, spayed & Microchipped. She is auburn red in color with a gray snout. She is no longer up to date on shots. On a personal note: To us, Lucy is our first Baby. We’ve raised her since she was 9 weeks old and it feels like we are missing a limb without her getting underfoot, burrowing herself in our bed, and barking at everything and anyone that goes by. This girl may be short in stature but she has a huge personality, and she is extremely close with her family. Every single day I wonder if today is the day I get a phone call saying she’s been found/returned. PLEASE keep a lookout for her and make contact if you have any information. We’ll pay a reward if she’s found and returned to us. We love her and miss her more than I can say.

Please help us find Lucy! $ REWARD for her safe return to her devastated family.

It’s almost been 6 months but we haven’t, and won’t, give up on finding our 8 year old miniature dachshund. She’s red with a graying snout, weighed about 10 pounds, and is spayed and microchipped. She ran away from the pet sitter in Lewes, DE in November just before Thanksgiving. Please share this post, especially to lost pet groups, rescues, shelters, and veterinarians. HAVE YOU SEEN THIS DOG? Please help us find her!

Lucy has been missing since 11/21 from Lewes, DE. She’s an 8 year old red short hair mini dachshund with a microchip. She’s spayed and was wearing the collar in the photo when she ran away from the dog walker. Go to her page Find Lucy for more information and contact details. She is a beloved member of our family. We’ve raised her since she was 9 weeks old, and we’ve been heartsick without her. Please, share this post and contact me directly if you have any information. She could be anywhere - maybe someone visiting DE for Thanksgiving found her and took her home with them. Our hope is that maybe with people stuck indoors and using social media a bit more than usual, that someone who knows something will see this. Or someone who took her in will no longer be able to keep her and will turn her over to a Vet, rescue, or shelter. THANK YOU!

104 days and it still doesn't feel real. Where is Lucy?! She was lost in Lewes, DE on 11/21 and hasn’t been seen since the week of Thanksgiving. Please keep sharing and looking! There is no way to keep up with searching for her in multiple states by ourselves. We’ve posted her as missing on every website we can think of, there are large road signs and flyers posted all over the area in which she was lost, we’ve contacted many Delaware and surrounding states Veterinarians, shelters, and rescues with her photo and information, but we can’t possibly contact them all or continually check in. Therefore we have to heavily rely on good samaritans and the power of social media 🙏

81 days in limbo. Where is Lucy?! She was lost in Lewes, DE on 11/21 and hasn’t been seen since the week of Thanksgiving. We’re hoping and praying that she’ll turn up, that someone has taken her in and that she’ll either be spotted, taken to a Vet and scanned for a microchip, or that the person is unaware she’s a beloved, lost pet and will soon find out that she has heartbroken owners still looking for her and they’ll turn her in. Please keep looking! There is no way to keep up with searching for her in multiple states by ourselves.
