🐾 We’re Looking for Vendors! 🐾

We are so excited to be celebrating with our sister rescue, Mabel's Orphaned Angels Rescue for their 10 year anniversary!

Join us October 3rd & 4th from 10 AM–4 PM at Horsmon Farm in St. Leonard for their Harvest Festival and our 10-year anniversary celebration. 🍂🐾

We’re looking for local vendors, crafters, small businesses, artists and makers who would like to set up and sell their products during the weekend (one or both days!).

The best part is that the vendor fees will go directly toward helping the animals. Horsmon Farm will also be donating proceeds from their concession stand to the rescue.

There will be adoptable dogs from Animal Relief Fund, adoptable cats from MOAR and adoptable guinea pigs from us! There will also be food, raffles, a costume contest, activities for the kids, vendors and lots of fun throughout the weekend!

If you’re a local vendor and would like to be part of this special event, we’d love to have you!

And if you know a vendor who might be interested, please tag them or share this post. Every vendor who joins us is helping us continue to care for and save animals in need. 🐶🐱🐹🩷

🧡🐈 Happy Ginger Cat Appreciation Day! 🐈🧡

Of course we love ALL of our ginger cat friends, but this one is a little extra special to me.

Most people know me as a dog person. Dogs have always been my thing. 😂 But late last year, we adopted Buffy — my fluffy, long-haired orange girl — and apparently that was the beginning of my descent into cat-person territory.

I’ve always had a soft spot for orange cats though. Maybe because I swear they’re basically dogs in cat bodies. 😂

Big personalities. Nosy. Affectionate. Always involved in whatever you’re doing. And somehow simultaneously incredibly smart and running on one shared orange-cat brain cell. 🧡

Buffy definitely helped remind me that maybe there’s room in this dog lady’s heart for a little more meow than I thought.

So today, show me your ginger babies! 🐈👇

💜 You may have already met this face…

Rachel has been joining me for our most recent classes and training sessions, and now it’s time to officially introduce her as our Training Program Mentee! 🐾

She came to me with a love for dogs, an eagerness to learn, and an interest in understanding so much more about training and behavior — and what better way to learn than jumping right in?

For now, she’s my second pair of hands in class, learning, observing, practicing, and getting experience with all the different dogs and personalities that come our way.

I’m excited to have her along for the ride and even more excited to watch her knowledge and confidence grow as we go. 💜

But I think she can introduce herself better than I can, so here’s Rachel!

My name is Rachel, and I’ve loved dogs and dog training for as long as I can remember.
My passion for training truly began when I was 11, and since then, I’ve trained just about every dog that has come through my door, and my family has owned dogs all my life.
I’ve also had the opportunity to care for and work with many other dogs throughout my life.
Outside of dog training, I’m a huge music lover and enjoy spending time with my family, especially caring for my disabled baby brother, who means everything to me. In my free time, you can usually find me snuggling with my dogs and watching a good TV show.
