With the candy bowl filling up, a quick reminder for pet families.

Chocolate, xylitol, and raisins are all dangerous for pets, and candy wrappers can cause problems of their own. Keep the stash somewhere your pet cannot reach, and remind the kids to do the same.

If your pet gets into something they should not, call us right away at (610) 926-8866.

🐾 Happy Veterinary Technician Week!

This week, we celebrate the incredible veterinary technicians of our hospital. ❤️

You're the ones holding paws when pets are scared, comforting worried families, assisting with surgeries, drawing blood, placing catheters, monitoring anesthesia, answering questions, cleaning up messes, and somehow managing to do a hundred things at once.
But what means the most is the heart you put into every patient and every family.
To our amazing vet techs: Thank you for everything you do, every single day. We see you. We appreciate you. And we are incredibly grateful to have you as part of our Leesport Animal Hospital team! ❤️🐾
Happy Vet Tech Week! You truly make a difference. 🐶🐱🩺

It is National Veterinary Technician Week and our techs are the heart of this place.

They comfort nervous patients, monitor anesthesia, are your lab-work technicians, surgical nurses, dental hygienists, and somehow still find a way to make everyone feel cared for, pets and people alike. We would be lost without them.

Have a tech here who has taken great care of your pet? Name them in the comments so we can pass it along.

Happy Global Cat Day to every cat and the people who serve them.

Cats are famously good at acting like nothing is wrong, even when something is. That quiet toughness is exactly why regular checkups matter so much for them, indoor cats included.

If it has been a while since your cat's last visit, call us at (610) 926-8866!

Today is Pet Obesity Awareness Day, and it is a good reminder that those extra treats add up.

Carrying extra weight makes everyday movement harder on your pet and can affect their comfort and energy over time. The encouraging part is that small changes to food, portions, and activity really do make a difference.

Not sure where your pet stands? Call us to schedule a weight check and a nutritional consultation!

Costume planning season is officially here.

If your pet is dressing up, keep it comfortable and safe: nothing that limits movement, vision, or breathing, no small pieces they could chew off, and always supervise while it is on.

If your pet would rather skip the outfit, a festive bandana still earns full marks.

So tell us, what is your pet going as this year? We want to hear it in the comments.
