Have you ever seen one of those feel-good videos where a scared, barky dog transforms into a happy, thriving companion? This is your chance to be the hero of that story—times two! Meet Bert and Ernie.

Now, this transformation won’t happen in 60 seconds of video footage. They’re still learning how to trust the world, so at first, Bert and Ernie might be a little barky or grumbly when they feel unsure. It’s going to take patience, understanding, and the willingness to let these two pups set the pace. You can’t rush trust—but oh, when it comes? The love they’ll share with you will be worth every moment.

Bert is the belly-rub king. He’ll flop at your feet, offering up his squishy belly like it’s a gift (and trust us, it is). Ernie, once he decides you’re his person, will shower you with kisses and stick to your side like glue.

Together, Bert and Ernie are the ultimate sunbeam-napping duo. They love sniffing around the yard, soaking up the day, and then curling up together to recharge. Bert has surprising bursts of athleticism but keeps his adventures short and sweet, while Ernie’s happy to go for a longer stroll or just head back inside for a cozy snooze.
They’ve already started to bloom here at the shelter with a few trusted staff members. Seeing their whole bodies wiggle with joy when a favorite person walks into the room is pure magic.

Bert and Ernie are looking for a dedicated adopter who will give them the space and time they need to feel safe and loved. The beginning might have its challenges, but your patience and hard work will be rewarded with loyalty, joy, and unconditional love. Are you ready to give this special pair a chance? They’re worth it. Stop by the shelter and ask about Bert and Ernie today!

We're counting down to Home for the Holidays by shining a spotlight on a few of our longer-stay animals.

Dino came to us a few months ago after we responded to a situation with over 40 dogs from a single home. While all of his furry friends have been adopted, sweet Dino is still waiting—84 days and counting—for someone to take a chance on him.

Dino is a gentle soul who gives the sweetest kisses, enjoys meeting new people, and walks beautifully on a leash. He’s already learned a few tricks and continues to impress us with his curiosity and eagerness to learn. This snuggly, lovable pup is discovering the joys of being an indoor dog, and he can’t wait to share his next adventures with a family of his own. Could you be the one to make Dino’s dreams come true?

🎁Dino will head home with a full month of sponsored training classes and a goodie bag full of supplies and toys! Stop by the shelter and ask about Dino today, we are open 11am-6pm for adoptions!

We're counting down to Home for the Holidays by shining a spotlight on a few of our longer-stay animals.

Meet Teasel! This playful cat has been waiting for a home for 97 days! Teasel is curious and confident. She loves chasing wand toys, climbing cat trees and pouncing on treats! Teasel will rub and wind through your legs to get your attention and if you sit down, she will be right by your side, curled up and purring away! Teasel might enjoy an indoor/outdoor type home and would love to find a home where she can play the day away! Is Teasel the cat for you?

🎁Teasel will head home with a goodie bag full of her favorite toys! Stop by the shelter and ask about Teasel today, we are open 11am-6pm for adoptions!

We're counting down to Home for the Holidays by shining a spotlight on a few of our longer-stay animals.

First up, meet Marshmallow! He's been waiting for 143 days to find a home to call his very own. Marshmallow loves playing fetch and will happily shower you with kisses. He knows a few tricks and has even accompanied some of our volunteers out to a restaurant for a patio lunch where he proudly displayed his good-boy-sit! Here at the shelter, Marshmallow has done well with other laid-back dogs.

Marshmallow’s favorite things? Back scratches, stretching out in the backseat for road trips (snoring included!), and spending time with his favorite people. Could you be the one to give Marshmallow the cozy home he deserves this holiday season?

🎁Marshmallow will head home with a full month of training classes and a goodie bag full of his favorite toys! Stop by the shelter and ask about Marshmallow today, we are open 11am-6pm for adoptions!
