One of my favorite things about my Forestier Sellier USA saddle is how comfortable the horses stay, even during long schooling sessions. The F-Shock panels absorb vibration without changing the feel of the saddle, helping the horses stay comfortable while giving me the balance I need to ride effectively.

It has a thoughtful design that lets me focus on the horse—not my tack.

This industry asks a lot of you. Long days, early mornings, setbacks you didn't see coming, and plenty of moments that test your patience.

But if you keep showing up, stay willing to learn, and always put the horses first, those small, ordinary days start to add up to something pretty special. The best horse people I know never stop learning; that's part of what makes this sport so rewarding.

It's been rewarding to watch Samson grow into himself.

At 17.1 hands and six years old, he's always been a horse we wanted to take our time with. Rather than rushing his education, we've focused on giving him the time to develop physically and mentally, and it's exciting to see that patience paying off. His strength in the canter continues to improve, and every ride leaves us more impressed with the horse he's becoming.

Samson is ready for someone to enjoy the next chapter with him. Whether your goals are in the dressage ring, out on the trails, or simply with a kind, athletic partner to enjoy every day, he's ready to be someone's very special horse.

Every round is another opportunity to be a little more patient, a little more effective, and a little better for your horse. That's what progress looks like. Not perfection, but a commitment to improving one ride at a time.

One of the things I appreciate most about my Forestier Sellier USA is that I rarely have to think about it—and that's exactly how good tack should be.

It allows me to focus on what's important: producing horses correctly, helping them stay comfortable, and building better partnerships every day. The balance, feel, and thoughtful design give me confidence whether I'm bringing along a young horse or stepping into the jumper ring with a seasoned campaigner.

My favorite thing about these photos isn't the jump.

It's all of the people standing behind it.

This sport may look individual from the outside, but every successful round is the result of an incredible team effort. I'm fortunate to have an outstanding group around me: my barn manager and head groom, Madison, who keeps everything running smoothly; Elaudio, who helps make sure the farm is always operating at its best; all of my wonderful owners, who entrust me with the rides on their incredible horses; and my trainer, Silvio, whose guidance continues to challenge me to become a better horsewoman.

None of this happens alone, and I'm grateful for every one of them.

Crowd Control ("Samson"): 2020 17.1h black Friesian/Warmblood gelding

Samson is the kind of young horse who immediately fills a ring with presence, yet remains an absolute gentleman in every aspect of his work. He is straightforward and generous, and he comes out each day ready to do his job.

Even though Samson is a big horse with big gaits, he is soft in the hand and goes in a rubber snaffle. Samson offers that rare balance of talent and temperament. He has the movement and quality to suit a professional, while still being genuinely appropriate for an adult amateur or young rider. This is the horse in my program that I put everyone on; he has carried my mom and my brother-in-law around!

Under saddle, Samson is reliable, willing, and uncomplicated. There is no buck, rear, or spook to him. He has been off-property schooling, works happily alone or in a group, stands tied without issue, and trailers with ease. He has been schooled over fences and seems to enjoy it as well. His steady mind and love of hacking could make him a compelling fox-hunting prospect. He takes new environments in stride and has already gained experience at notable venues, handled the atmosphere with the same quiet confidence he shows at home.
Full transparency: Samson does have a roar; he has been fully evaluated by my veterinarian, and we have not seen any issues in performance or recovery.

Samson is ready for his next rider to continue his education and enjoy everything he has to offer. He is a kind, talented young horse with an incredibly bright future ahead.

We have a rare opening at Solosi Equestrian in Leesburg, Virginia.

Our program is designed for riders who are serious about their goals while still believing that horses should enjoy their jobs. Whether you're aiming for the jumper ring, developing a young horse, or simply wanting to continue your education in the saddle, every horse receives an individualized program built around their needs.

We're intentionally a small, close-knit group. That allows us to focus on thoughtful management, consistent routines, quality training, and the details that help horses perform as athletes. Most importantly, we strive to create confident horses and confident riders who enjoy the process as much as the results.

One of the beautiful things about horses is that they don't care about perfection.

They care about clarity, consistency, and whether you show up tomorrow ready to try again.

This sport demands long days, early mornings, and a willingness to be humbled on a regular basis. More often than not, progress comes from learning through mistakes rather than avoiding them altogether.

I'm incredibly proud of the work our clients, horses, and team put in every day. The ribbons are wonderful, but the growth that happens between horse shows is what matters most.
