Yesterday was a big day for Miss Fiona Joy as she completed her last heart worm treatment! She has been going through treatment for the last few months and finally Graduated yesterday. We made sure to get pictures with her graduation cap on to celebrate this event. We hope everyone will congratulate Fiona Joy and wish her the best.🩵🐶🎓

Congratulations to our Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) dog Butters for completing his heartworm treatment!! This has been a long and hard process for Butters but he has been nothing but sweet and loving through it. We are so happy to celebrate that he has graduated from his treatment and is on to the next stage of living a happy life. ❤️🐾

When the temps rise, our furry friends need a little extra care! Keep your pets safe, cool, and happy all summer long with these simple tips:
💧 Hydration is key
Always provide fresh, cool water—bring a portable bowl on walks! General rule: 1 ounce of water per pound of weight daily.
🌳 Seek shade & limit peak heat
Walk early in the morning or late evening to avoid hot pavement and overheating.
🚗 Never leave pets in the car
Even a few minutes can be dangerous—even with windows cracked.
🐾 Protect those paws
Hot pavement can burn! Test it with your hand—if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them.
🧊 Cool them down safely
Try cooling mats, frozen treats, or a shady rest spot.
👒 Sun protection counts too
Light-colored or thin-coated pets can get sunburned—ask us about pet-safe options!
