🐾💙 Happy National Veterinary Technician Week! 💙🐾

As we wrap up this year’s Veterinary Technician Week, we want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate our incredible Licensed Veterinary Technicians!

Our LVTs consistently go above and beyond to provide exceptional care to every pet that walks through our doors. From comforting nervous patients and supporting worried pet parents to assisting with lifesaving procedures and advocating for those who cannot speak for themselves, their compassion, dedication, and expertise make a difference every single day.

So much of what our technicians do happens behind the scenes, but their impact is felt in every corner of our hospital. Their hard work, patience, and unwavering commitment to their patients never go unnoticed.

To our amazing LVTs: Thank you for the countless ways you make a difference, for the love you pour into your work, and for being such an essential part of our team. We are incredibly grateful for all that you do, not just this week, but every day of the year! 🐶🐱❤️

🐾 National Check the Chip Day 🐾

A microchip is one of the best ways to help reunite lost pets with their families—but it only works if your contact information is up to date!

Take a few minutes today to:
✅ Confirm your pet's microchip is registered
✅ Verify your phone number, address, and email are current with the microchip registry
✅ Update any information that has changed since registration

Even if your pet spends most of their time indoors, accidents happen. A current microchip registration can make all the difference in getting your furry family member home safely.

At Old Mill Veterinary Hospital, we can scan your pet's microchip to confirm the chip number matches the one in your pet's medical record. You'll still need to contact your microchip registry directly to verify or update your contact information.

🐶 A few minutes today can provide peace of mind for years to come. ❤️
