Joey is a brave, honest young horse with a bright future ahead of him. He joined our training program in early spring 2025, working with a junior rider as her project horse, and has picked up his fundamentals fast ever since — nothing rattles this guy. He's just as happy hacking out on the trails or playing in the field as he is working in the ring.

Currently going as a hunter with a classic round jump and an amazing way of moving, Joey prefers a relaxed ride and is schooling 2'6" at home (has jumped higher), with show experience up to 2'3". Still building consistency in his flying changes, but he's quick to learn and eager to please. Same horse at home and off property — the kind who can have weeks off and go right back to work like nothing happened.

On the ground he's a total sweetheart and loves to cuddle.

What an exciting and rewarding week at Upperville!

We kicked off the show with some great rounds in the Jump for Fun classes. For many of our riders, this was their first time competing at a show of this size, making it an especially memorable experience. There were plenty of smiles, wonderful ponies, and valuable lessons learned along the way.

We started the week with Emily and Kadie earning Reserve Champion in the Thoroughbred Jumpers and continued with Shelby putting in fantastic rounds in the 3’6” Amateur Owner Hunters. We even wrapped up the week with a little leadline fun!

We are so grateful to this incredible horse show for providing such a special experience for our riders, trainers, and families. A special shoutout to Bruce for his dedication and coaching throughout the week.

Now, on to Loudoun! 💙🐴

Hi everyone!

We’re aware of the ongoing EHV situation and are actively following biosecurity protocols. We kindly ask that all visitors keep to their own horses and respect distance when possible to help keep everyone safe.

Our show is still on as scheduled, and we’re looking forward to a fun and safe Sunday!
