🐾 We’re Hiring! Part-Time Mobile Dog Groomer

Katie’s Divine K9s is growing, and we’re looking for the right person to join our team!

We’re looking for a part-time dog groomer to work Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

~ About Katie’s Divine K9s ~

We’re a local, family-run, woman-owned mobile dog grooming business serving Leesburg, Ashburn, Sterling and the surrounding areas.

Our goal is not just to give dogs a great haircut. We want them to feel safe and comfortable while they’re here.

We take our time, use positive reinforcement, and let the dog set the pace when they need a little extra time. We believe grooming should be a positive experience.

~ What we’re looking for ~

We want someone who:

• Loves working with dogs
• Is patient, gentle and compassionate
• Takes pride in their work
• Is dependable and shows up for their scheduled days
• Can work independently
• Is comfortable handling different breeds, sizes and temperaments
• Takes good care of the van and equipment
• Is friendly and professional with clients
• Is looking for something long-term

This is a good fit for someone who enjoys the independence of mobile grooming but also wants to be part of a small, supportive team.

Requirements

• Professional grooming experience
• Reliable transportation
• Must pass a background check
• Must pass a drug test
• Must be able to work Saturday, Sunday and Monday
• Must be dependable and committed to the schedule

If you’re an experienced groomer who loves what you do and you think you might be a good fit, we’d love to hear from you!

Send us a message with a little about yourself, your grooming experience, and what you’re looking for in your next position. 🐶🩵

Meet Bethany 🐾🩵

This sweet 14-year-old Shepherd Hound mix came in with lots of loose tufts of hair just waiting to come out… and WOW, did they ever! 😅 After her bath and blowout, she was feeling so much better. The before-and-after photos show the difference, but the tub and walls tell the real story!

Senior dogs often need a little extra time, patience, and flexibility during grooming, and we’re happy to make those accommodations. We work at their pace, take breaks when needed, and pay close attention to comfort, mobility, and how they’re feeling throughout the groom. Our goal with senior dogs isn’t just to make them look good, it’s to make the entire experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Bethany did such a wonderful job, and we were so happy to help this beautiful senior girl look and feel her best. 💕

If your senior pup could use a little extra TLC, we’d love to meet them!

🐾 Let’s talk about matting.

We recently had a sweet pup come to us with a severely matted coat that needed to be shaved down. While the transformation can be dramatic, we want to use this as an opportunity to talk about mats. 🩵

Matting can happen more easily than many people realize, especially with curly, long, or doodle-type coats. A few missed brushing sessions can quickly turn into tight mats, particularly behind the ears, under the collar, in the armpits, around the legs, and anywhere there is friction.

Unfortunately, mats aren’t just a cosmetic issue. Tight matting can pull on the skin and cause discomfort, irritation, restricted movement, and can even hide underlying skin problems.

Almost always shaving is the kindest and most humane option. Trying to brush out tight mats can be incredibly painful and stressful for a dog.

The good news? Matting is preventable! 🐶

✨ Regular professional grooming
✨ Brushing and combing at home
✨ Using the right tools and techniques for your dog’s coat
✨ Maintaining a consistent grooming schedule

For many dogs, grooming every 4–8 weeks will make a huge difference in keeping their skin and coat healthy and comfortable.

And if you’re ever unsure whether you’re brushing correctly or what schedule your dog needs, please ask us! We’re always happy to help and would much rather answer questions early than see a pup become uncomfortable.

No judgment. Just education, compassion, and healthier, happier dogs. 💕🐾

“Just a trim.” ✂️😂

Dog moms, you know exactly what that means…

“Just take a little off, keep the length, clean up the face, make them fluffy, but don’t make them look TOO different.” 😂

Basically… the same conversation we have with our own hairdresser. 😂

No worries—we speak fluent “just a trim.” 🐶✂️

Ready for your pup’s next groom? We’ll come right to your driveway! 🚐💕

Happy National Dog Day! 🐕🦮🐩🐕‍🦺

Today is a pretty easy one for us to celebrate because dogs are the reason we get to do what we love every day.

We’re so grateful for all of the sweet faces who climb into our vans, wag their tails, give us kisses, and trust us to take care of them. And we’re just as grateful for the amazing families behind them who support our small, family-run business.

Thank you for trusting Katie’s Divine K9s with your pups. We truly love what we do, and we love being part of your dogs’ lives!

Give your pups an extra treat (or three 😉) today! 🐶🐾

Happy National Dog Day from all of us at Katie’s Divine K9s! 🩵
